Okay, so I have a 2002 Rubicon 500…bought it last year and it sat for several months until I put a new rear axle in, FINALLY got that done and was super excited to finally have my wheeler going, just to notice a strong gas odor. Popped the seat off and sure enough, pouring gas from the carb overflow. Fast forward a few more weeks and get the new carb and get it in, no leak! Yay. Except now I have no spark. 😒 I’ve tried another plug and checked and am getting no power to the coil pack. I’ve read and read and mostly what I’ve found is ECU, which is fine…but I like to exhaust all avenues before buying the more expensive parts just because I don’t wanna spend the money and it have ended up being something simple that I overlooked because I was trying to rush. 😂 I don’t know if it’s relevant, but I read on another post that someone had similar issues with theirs and it was the sensor on the side of the carb, just a thought since this literally happened after I put the new carb on. It also displays “- -“ on the display screen where it should show the gear position.

Hello, I have a 2022 Honda Rubicon and I have an issue where it won’t start, when I turn the key for power nothing lights up and it won’t start but the lights will turn on with the light switch, I’ve checked all fuses and they’re good, I don’t have a wiring schematic I’m not sure where to start, I checked the ignition fuse when I turn the key on and there’s no voltage there, I used a jumper wire from the batter to the top of the ignition fuse and then it works fine and starts fine but as soon as I turn the quad/key off it won’t start again until I jump the ignition fuse with battery power, just wondering if anyone could give me some tips where to go with this or if anyone has had the same issue, thank you.

Hey y’all, so I have this 02 Honda foreman rubicon 500fa that I just got running after who knows how long. But a couple issue came with the start up and I need some help. 1. While idling and full throttle it’s smoking pretty bad. I think it’s the jug and/or piston rings. Could someone tell me if I’m on the right path. 2. When I put it into drive, the hondamatic has a high pitch squealing and it barely moves. I put it in reverse and doesn’t move at all. Any ideas or possibilities I can look into?

I need some help with figuring out the issue at hand. I just picked up 2 02 Honda Foreman Rubicon 500FAs. I just did a head gasket kit on one and carb clean out. Got it all together. Put a new battery in and once I turned the key, the cluster started flashing D1, D2, ESP, and hours. I haven’t tried pull starting it but the electric start doesn’t work. I thought it might be the ECM, but I changed it with the parts quad I got and that didn’t change anything I haven’t put any other parts into it yet, but wanted to know if there is certain parts or anything I should test. Im stumped and at a loss. Im hoping I didn’t just blow 1800 on two junk quads. Please help anyone.

I need some help please. I just picked up two 02 Honda foreman rubicon 500s, one is for parts. I just replaced the head gaskets, but seem to not beable to get the rockers and push rods to line up and seat when I put the valve cover on. Does anyone know where I can find a service manual and/or how I can get the push rods and rockers to line up. The piston is at TDC. Thanks y’all for any help or suggestions.

hey so never ran into this before but i recently got a 04 honda rubicon 500. bought it from my doctor not running and the front brakes were locked up. cleaned the carb and it fired right up and runs great. these model atvs have drum brakes front and rear. not a fan. lost all brakes on this one when i hit some water and it got inside the rear drum case. so i ordered new shoes for the rear end no biggie. front is more complicated. has hydraulic drum brakes not sure who thought that was a good idea but the pistons in the drums rusted and locked up from it sitting with moisture in the drums. so i had a choice to make- 1. buy new brake pistons ($120 for a set of 4) or 2. order super atv's disc brake conversion kit for $250. i HATE drum brakes so i went with the conversion kit. it said it was easy to install with no specialty tools. so i order it and turns out i have to press the studs out of my hubs to get the disc on. anyone ever done this and if so how?

Cannot get at plate containing my VIN as winch in the way. What number and letter configurations am I missing between the VIN I can recover on the upright in front. 478TE2 ??????100175. Many thanks. Had previous conversation with CycleTechChick. Thanks
