Got a 1997 Honda 300ex came to me in pieces everything was there I put it back together with a manual. But now it won’t shift, when u try to move shifter it’s like a half click no engagement. I’ve took it apart many times can’t find nothing wrong really need some help. Thanks

I have a Honda 300ex trx. Long story short the engine blew years ago and recently we started to rebuild it piston,rods,timing chain,cams, and clutch. In the process of rebuilding it we noticed it wouldn’t shift up or down. We think it’s stuck in neutral but it won’t shift with the clutch engaged, I check the clutch and everything seems to be working/engaging fine we also checked the transmission and even rebuilt it (looking off a diagram) . Please help!! Thanks!

I have a 1998 Honda 300ex and it really won’t spark or it will every once and a while but just once. I have a new cdi and coil but it won’t spark out of the coil. Any suggestions?

Hey, so I’ve got a 98’ 300ex with a few mods.... jet kit, k&n air filter, it’s got 18” rear tires. I’m just wondering what would be the best mods so I can keep up with say a 400ex on the straight always, I already can in the trails simply because I’m a better rider.....

Today I went riding and towards the end of the day my quad kept dieing while I was riding it. Just riding like normal and it would start to back fire and then die. Do I need to clean my carb or what?

I have a 2005 honda trx 300ex sportrax. I pulled the welded together crap of an exhaust that's on my quad I just picked up and the valve is ghost white. Do you guys no what exactly this means? Or do I just need to pull the head and rebuild it? I'm also looking for plastics and a cheaper stock exhaust if anyone has one. Thanks for your time.

I was wondering if I could fit a bumper for a different quad on my 300ex? There is one in motosport that I want but they dont make it for mine. If so which one?

I have a 2005 Honda 300EX that won't start. I've changed the starter and I've changed the solenoid. When I try to push start it the back wheels skid, it's a manual. I've charged the battery and I've done the screwdriver trick with the solenoid that won't start it. It tries to crank but it won't turn over. I was out riding for about an hour or two and then it quit on me. Before I went riding I change the air filter and I change the oil. Heeeeelp. Suggestions? I'm learning all of this info myself from forums. Thanks.

Can somebody please tell me if 250x or 250ex nerf bars will fit on 96 300ex, and will 93-98 300ex nerf bars work on my 96 300ex? Thanks

So I want to sell my 2000 Honda 300EX but really not sure what it is worth.. Is is in mint condition and has many mods which include custom red plastics, nerf bars, handle bars, grab bar, DG Exhaust and a few other things. Here is a pic:

I have a 05 300ex, i ride for about an hour when its good and warmed up and during the end of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears it putters out. Rides fine before its really hot, kinda stumped. Changed cdi, still doing it. Rejetted, still doing it. New plug and actually new carb too. I also have white bros pipe and kn filter. Valves are moving good. Thanks

So I'm new to the forums tho not to atv's. Anyway, I got a 95 TRX 300ex the other day and it needs some valve seals. The compression is at 150psi, so I assume it has to be the seals that make it smoke. I want to make this thing run better, as it's a nice quad. It's has a racing suspension setup all around, and I don't want to ride around smoking.. Just wondering what would be the best service manual to get for it?

I have a 2005 300ex. Bought it brand new in Feb. 2008 as a leftover model, I got it reaaaaaally cheap. I showed up to buy a 450r and left with a 300ex cause it was 6k cheaper. im pleased with it, it does everything I need it too. mods: HMF Slip on, Shock covers, jetted, moose handguards, and maxxis razr2 tires. putting the tires on today. hopefully test them out after work tonight, im excited. I will post my input on them after I test them. Thanks to stoopidbot for helping me with my tire decision. Im confident I will be happy with my choice.
