Exploiting a loop hole in the law, turn 4 wheeler into rev trike for a long while I have been trying to get a real 4 wheeler street legal. the problem is with the state laws, if it has 4 wheels, its a car and has mega more rules. If it only has 3 wheels, its a trike and can be made from cobbled junk parts held together with duct tape and they will plate it I wonder if anyone would have insight on changing a 4 wheeler over to a single rear wheel? [ I can't afford some $40-60,000 canam or super bike modded into a car, rev trike kit ] I want something I can truly ride year round on and off road. Ive rode enough old Honda 3 wheelers that I know I do not want a traditional motorcycle trike. So the single wheel has to go out back.

I am replacing the seals on the water pump . I notice between the oil and mechanical seal there is a fine grits of sand that entered the weep hole . Some are putting fitting in the weep hole and route an hose to the handle bars and problem solve .On a mud pro the weep hole is close to the edge of water pump no room to install a fitting so my question is : if that mod was done with success by someone ,I would like to know what kind of fitting that was used. Thanks Alain

I have scored a 1999 bayou 300 for free. It has been setting for years (2) but it was too good to pass up. I have found the usual problems, dirty tank ,clogged pitcock, gummed up carb. etc. I also noticed a oil leak. I lifted the front of the quad up high so I could get a good look at what is going on. I wiped down the case and found something im not sure about. I found a hole in the case at the front and down low. It does not look like it was hit or damaged from riding. The hole is about the width of a penny and about half an inch long, it is located where the case halfs are put together. I thought it could be a vent of some kind but to me it seems to be to low. It would get full of mud and water. I haven't put any money into the quad yet so now is the time to answer this question. Thanks for any help.
