2003 Kawasaki Prairie 650 front drive axle removal
hangingon replied to hangingon's topic in Kawasaki ATV Forum
It's not to bad at all It's the things like getting the exhuast to slip off from the front pipe I had a problem getting 1 front axle too pull out of the diff. On my old quad the axles came out with no trouble today. It's just alot of parts and you have to remember I pulled stuff off that doesn't need to come off if I didn't want to paint the frame. I'm pulling everything off my old quad for the extra parts since the frame is no good. -
Heck thats better than what I have now I have triangle wheels. I didn't have enuff $$ for the forth corner.

That was the only one I feel it had been welded before for some reason and who ever left a hole for water to get in it's rusted on the inside. The front bumper bolts are broke off in the frame and parts on that side of the quad was loose compared to the other side. I think I got a patch job you know what I mean patch it sell it to the first sucker.

Thank you I sometimes take it to easy to get things apart in fear of breaking a part. Today I used my man power and popped the axle out. It's nice having 2 of almost everything. -
Swampcat thanks! I was useing ziplok bags but their not so easy to write on. I like yours better. Some I put in the new frame where they will be going. I forgot I started on my old quad today and have a fight on my hands getting the exhuast pipe to come off the pipe it slips onto. Dirt and some rust is winning so far. If I had Petes money I would just buy a new one and cut the old one off.

I guess some people just don't care enough about them self to protect their head. It's not good for the sport when others copy them.

Take a deep breath let it out now breath! Feel better now if not think about them toy's. lol

First off I would fix the cable. Pull the spark plug and see if it's in good condition, check your air filter make sure it's clean. If all checks out ok the carb might need to be cleaned.

We inturrupt this quad site to get a snow update from our QC affillates in our upper northern states! I hope your all doing good & have power looking forward to seeing more pics. Wylde I'm wanting to see you jump your quad over a snowman or play quad snowboweling by building 12 snowmen and seeing how many you can take out with your quad all at 1 time. -
