  1. Like @Frank Angerano said, a VIN would help but also if you could take a few pics and then we can take a look. I changed your topic title to Help Identify Old Honda 4x4 ATV rather than just patcher, like you had it, so it's more descriptive. 😉
  2. I corrected the video embed within the post. Very cool! ☺️
  3. Pretty cool. 😎
  4. Hard to say but maybe check this VIN links in this post:
  5. I was thinking of doing the same on my grizzly. I think the ones below are from ebay. Are you looking at some specifically?
  6. Can you post a photo of your Kodiak? Either in this topic or in the gallery is fine. Also, what website are you using to decipher your vin#?
  7. I would agree with @davefrombc and depends on your budget. I have a habit of throwing parts at everything if I'm in there where fixing my atv, car, or oil burner! Great pictures BTW, not sure what is causing scoring like that and I would assume it's friction/oil issue/vibration at some point.
  8. I agree with @davefrombc I had a Kodiak 450 and it was great, fast, got through trails where other quads did not. I moved to a 700 king quad at the time because I wanted to comfort, bigger machine, and independent rear suspension. Today, you can get a lower model kodiak or grizzly and it will have these things. I would go to the dealer and sit on both and get a feel for them. Get a model with the third top light, seems the EPS versions have it. I miss that on my older grizzly and had that on my king quad which it looks like they removed on the king quads...😒
  9. Welcome to QUADCRAZY. If you can afford it, go with the Grizzly but the Kodiak is a great ATV as well and should be find for what you are doing. Years back, there were more differences like independent rear suspension. I believe with the late models it's really the difference in suspension and power delivery between the two. The Grizzly has more aggressive power and comfort built in. Check out the videos below. I also added the year range into your topic title.
  10. Are you referring to the axle nut? Refer to a torque spec whenever its possible. * Topic moved to Honda forum.
  11. It may be just the relay that you changed, so might not be your issue. Looking at this parts diagram I don't see a separate switch. https://www.suzukipartshouse.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d0a5def870022c2c534c66/wiring-harness-model-x-y
  12. I just went to home depot for something else and forgot to pick up bolts! Damn... It is amazing how they rust and corrode. Good tip, thanks!
  13. What year is your king quad? I would check the neutral safety switch to start and then take a meter out and follow power down to the starter and see if it's actuating at all. Definitely sounds electrical but you'll need to troubleshoot.
  14. I drilled out the old broken bolts on what they sent me which only holds the plastic on. Using new bolts and nuts with lock washers. Used the old bolts to mount to the frame. I think over the summer I'm going to take some of the plastics off and remove rust and coats some of the metal.
  15. I ended up getting these on ebay before the holidays. They were used and I had to drill out some of the bolts, but issue solved.
  16. This is exactly what probably happened and has happened to me a few times. There should be a plug to release the water on the bottom of the belt housing. See #4 in the diagram below: If you need the manual, there is one here: * Manufacturer and issue added to topic title.
  17. I added to your topic title a bit so maybe you'll get some answers. 😀
  18. Yes, typically sport quad front tires are more narrow and taller than the rears. In most cases even on 4WD and AWD fronts are more narrow for turning.
  19. I think lift kits are a great way to get additional ground clearance and large tires and rims on an ATV. I never felt the need to go with a lift kit myself. I would check with https://www.highlifter.com/ and amazon if I were. I added the word ATV and 2-3" in your topic title for better searches/description.
  20. Welcome to QUADCRAZY!
  21. Welcome to QUADCRAZY! I moved this topic into the Honda forum. Checked out your video and glad you got it running. I noticed you have an aftermarket exhaust. Some exhaust systems require you to re-jet the carb, so you may want to look into that. I had to do that with my HMF pipe. As far as wiring, post the pics and try to get a manual to see if there are wiring diagrams in there. If you don't have one, there is one in the download section:
  22. I've never had to do it actually but I would imagine you need to find the plug or the wires going to it. There are a few videos on youtube. Start with looking to see what it may look like from a parts diagram and follow the wire up:
  23. Welcome to QUADCRAZY! That is a low voltage code. Can you test the voltage coming from the stator? It could be that or there should be a voltage regulator that could be bad. It could be that the battery isn't holding a charge as well. I added the code to your topic title as part of your issue. 😁
  24. Topic moved to Yamaha forum and I edited the topic title to Yamaha bear tracker oil filter location to help others find this information as well.
  25. I realized that after I posted you have a 2010. It may be different for 2006-2010 based on the manual I saw on amazon. I think you need an owners manual to find out fluid info and changes and may be able to get away with that than a service manual. There isn't much in the owners manual section because you can usually find it online. https://www.quadcrazy.com/files/category/17-atv-owner-manuals/ Check out this website for owners manuals https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/motorsports/owners-manuals
