  1. That sucks. Can you find parts for it? Is that a chinese ATV?
  2. Nice, I used to have a Kodiak 450 years ago and loved it. Today its a much better quad than it was then...this photo was over 10 year ago I think. Good luck with your Kodiak and post some pics!
  3. Honestly, I don't do anything with polaris and I used to be a bit turned off by polaris atvs in general because two of my buddies had an Xplorer and Sportsman 600 I think and although nice quads, they just couldn't take the beating our grizzlys, hondas, kodiak, and king quads could. Both of them had issues with front suspension and axles I recall and one had a speedo issue. But its not really fair because that was like 10 years ago and today they seem much better. I haven't ridden one in a while so I can't really give you an opinion. I'm biased because I've only owned Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha ATVs like Bayou, Warrior, Kodiak, King Quad, and Grizzly.
  4. You know I'm not sure really, I'm assuming snow got in there and I left it out in the rain a few times before the winter. That line is just a drain and has a plug at the end of it. I think its just there to hold any water/condensation or if you submerge it to drain the shifter box I guess. But that tube had ice in it because the quad sits in my garage outside with no heat. Yeah I'm glad it wasn't a major issue, I need this thing to keep going until I can get a new quad down the road. 💵
  5. Sounds like a bad battery to me. Topic moved to Honda ATV forum and added ATV info and issue to topic title 😎
  6. I think there is a reverse speed limiter that goes bad and when you hold down the override it bypasses it. Take a look at some of the youtube videos to bypass it to test.
  7. Welcome @Twilight228 !
  8. This is more of an informational fix I wanted to share.. My Grizzly has been getting harder and harder to shift this winter and today was completely stuck and I needed to plow the few inches that came down this morning. First thought...oh no, tranny...but it’s winter and maybe it’s iced up. I pulled off the plastic to see what was going on and indeed I did find the drain tube iced up. I took the blow dryer out and de-iced it. Quick fix, I never really thought about the shifter drain tube icing up before, shifts like new! FA04AC3B-4FB0-4764-AFD9-1492F5CC790B.MOV
  9. This is a cool photo!
  10. Just saw this topic, but I would just keep an eye and most of the time the manufacturer will line the plastic areas with heat deterrent tape/material.
  11. So 8 years later...what's everyone using? I've moved entirely to chrome on my laptop, desktop, and iphone.
  12. 12 years later and this thing s still on the market!
  13. Topic moved to Honda ATV forum.
  14. sorry missed this post. I would not use 30w small engine oil and specifically stick with ATV type oils because of the additives they use. Depending on what type of quad you have, those additives are important for the clutches and such.
  15. Yeah we did too and to a surprise 2 hour delay school for the kids. Didn't know it was going to snow.
  16. Looks great!
  17. My finish nailer I bought 10 years ago finally started to give me too much trouble. It was cheap from Home Depot. Bought a new one from Amazon for under $30 and VERY happy with it, Has great reviews. Also bought this dual range tester but haven;t use it yet Another Amazon purchase for $21.95. I just started getting free 1 day deliveries with prime, so its so damn easy to shop!
  18. Ah yes, and its a compound slide. That's what happened to my old saw, electric motor was burning until it crapped out!
  19. So you are concerned that having it parked with the weight of the lawn mower caused stress on your ATV transmission? More than likely I would think it's ok because its a locked position but what kind of ATV is it?
  20. Yeah I'm happy with it, my wife said that our mouldings are coming about awesome and better than when we did them last time around years ago. I put a fine blade on it and I'm very happy with the cuts and overall use. The stand is pretty awesome. heavy and durable. Sorry missed this topic post. What's a double bevel? Forgive my ignorance.
  21. Have you checked on ebay? Topic moved to suzuki atv forum and added issue to topic title. 😁
  22. Welcome to QUADCRAZY and to the world of ATV'ing! I would personally go with the 800 but am personally inclined to Suzuki King Quads and Yamaha Grizzlys, 700-750 and more utility vs sport. However, there are so many great ATVs out there and the Can-Ams are pretty good. Take a look at Textron/Arctic Cat also. Do a search on Google for "ATV1" vs "ATV2" and if they are in the same class, you can usually find a good comparison video like:
  23. 10w-40
  24. on my 4 strokes I always used Valvoline. Its now like this: Amazon has it for a pack of 6 but if you find it at walmart its cheaper. Here's an older topic on this oil
