  1. Like lower NY, outside of private property there isn't much from what I recall. https://www.ct.gov/deep/cwp/view.asp?a=2716&q=325298&deepNav_GID=1650 Effective January 1, 2006, except where specifically allowed, riding an ATV on state or municipal property may result in charges of criminal trespass. (Public Act 05-234) At the current time, Connecticut does not have any public areas open to quads. Additionally, there are no State managed areas open to dirt bikes although the Army Corps of Engineers facility at Thomaston Dam is available for two wheeled trail bike riding. https://www.traillink.com/stateactivity/ct-atv-trails/ http://backyardadventuretours.com/
  2. All those links from rapidshare are no longer good. I've removed them. We now host manuals here https://www.quadcrazy.com/files/category/4-suzuki-atv/ I'll try and update the first post as best I can since @oxidized_black is no longer around.
  3. Sounds like a nice project! Once you get that carb back you want to be able to crank the engine, ideally with the starter. So you’ll need to fix/replace the switch that’s broken. How’s the battery? May need a new one if it’s the original. Once you get it to crank, you can go from there.
  4. I usually check those sites as well and then get the OE number and do a google search. Also search amazon & ebay. I've found some things cheaper on amazon and some not, but its worth a look.
  5. @Frank Angerano is right, see without any compression how that starter cranks. If its still slow like it is, might be a bad starter if that battery is fully charged.
  6. Nice, now you just need to name them! How much did you get them for? Good quads, low center of gravity, shifters, all little beasts! Do they all run?
  7. @Guy Churchward I converted your .MOV video to .MP4 which plays on more devices 😎
  8. @Guy Churchward I downloaded the video you attached and it looks like you are getting it to crank, but its weak. You then got it started at the end of the video. What I don't understand is that if you changed the battery, why did you need to jump start it? Is that a booster pack you are using? Was the battery fully charged? Looks to me like its not enough battery/booster power to the starter or a bad starter the way it sounds when its cranking.
  9. Welcome to QUADCRAZY!
  10. Man..you guys find all the deals!!! @Dwight Williams post a pic of quad, does it have multiple shifters? Sounds like a nice project.
  11. I would check used parts at http://car-part.com/ it will show you some compatibility and local junk yards.
  12. I read somewhere it can have a suzuki engine. There are a few quads out there that have internal suzuki engines from what I remember. That's good in my opinion. Here's an old topic that might be of interest: There's also a few other topics https://www.quadcrazy.com/search/?q=baja
  13. You just find all the deals!
  14. Will it shift with it not running? Check out this topic:
  15. Welcome to QUADCRAZY!
  16. Nice job getting it running! I hear a little whining noise, is the air filter on or are there any intake leaks?
  17. Thats a good deal, hopefully no engine damage. Depends how it went in the water and for how long. You'll know once you drain the oil and pull that plug. Take the belt cover off, there also should be a drain plug somewhere. Inspect everything. Hopefully the engine is good, the rest is probably ok. Worse case scenario I think is an engine rebuild. You can then look used, look for a rebuilder like https://www.rev6sports.com/sportsman-500-engine-rebuild/ or even buy one on amazon - Polaris Ranger 500 99-13 Sportsman 500 96-13 Engine Motor Rebuilt :
  18. How much did you get it for? I think you are on the right track... Remove spark plug and crank the engine to make sure no water is in the cylinder/hydro locked. Is it belt drive? There should be a drain to let water out. Check all the electrical, buy a new battery because its probably shorted. Change the oil and filter and plan to do it again after you get it running. You may have other electrical issues but you wont know until you try to get it running.
  19. I'm using a quadboss atv cover currently and its pretty good. But if it tears or get another one, I've been looking at this one on Amazon for $27 and has pretty good reviews.
  20. Topic title updated to reflect component in question and moved to Kawasaki ATV forum. 😎
  21. That's the fuel petcock. I just changed mine on my yamaha grizzly last week because it was leaking also. You can get it on amazon for $9
  22. Black Friday is definitely not what it used to be. You can pretty much get every deal online for the last few years. If you are savvy enough, you can also get all the Black Friday ads in advance online and make a plan of what to get. The sales start early all the time and it takes away from the actual “Black Friday”. We check Amazon, Walmart, target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, etc. The deals are there and no need to go to any stores in my opinion.
  23. Put her back together and just in time for the snow! Getting the plow back on...
