2006 Kawasaki Prairie sputtering when hot
Ajmboy replied to coupedehille's topic in Kawasaki ATV Forum
I don't know how we missed this one. How did you make out? -
Are you asking how to put the piston in the cylinder after installing the rings? Or how to get the rings onto the piston?
-
Sounds silly..but did you replace the spark plug? Check all of your connections and get your meter out and start testing from the plug up and from the start button down.

Congrats on the new machine! You'll have to update your profile pic..... My friend has a rubicon, it's awesome. Is it a 680? Power Steering?

I have pics of carbs on other 400 series atvs...which may use the same carb. I would definately invest in a manual.

1986 Suzuki Quad Sport LT230 Project
Ajmboy replied to blasterLT230's topic in ATV & Off Road Modifications
Nice project you have going there. I renamed your thread to get better responses and for searches. * Thread renamed: 1986 Suzuki Quad Sport LT230 Project -
Like DD said, eBay. Also Craigslist. What's the model? * Changed thread title to get better results: 2004 Yamaha ATV Need Engine

I'm assuming this has a carb and not Fuel Injected like it's big brother... Sounds like it's running out of fuel in the carb bowl. Has this quad sat for a little bit or have you been pretty regular riding it. It's a 2008 and they're almost at 2010 models....so it's 2 years old. Maybe the carb needs a cleaning?

You have the shifters in the center, right?

I agree, Try googling "Ds650 Performance Parts".

I would definately get a manual for that machine. You can try and find one online or download a torrent if you've used that method before. I saw some downloads available: 1984 atc 125m torrent search+
