I took off the recoil side and the shift fork for forward and reverse works as it should. I am not sure which side the shifter cam is under. I see the case does split in half but there has to be an more easy way to see cam. Thanks

Will not go into 1st but if ya go past will go into maybe next gear. Will not shift into reverse. I have see others say that the shift cam assembly dowel worn or fall out. How do I get to this? Do I need to break case in half? thanks for your help
