  1. After much googling, I think it is a YFM350ER
  2. Hmmm, it might be next on the list, they are quite cheap.
  3. The wiring is the foreman with the dc cdi. I'll check the stator signal to the cdi this weekend, but i will have to troubleshoot the starter button first, hopefully I just unplugged something... It's not the starter though as bridging the solenoid works.
  4. I found a sticker on an upright post it's very hard to make out and it has a tear in it, but this is what I can see: jy43hpno o naq4 0 (the gaps are either not there or hard to read) there is also12/91 on the label. The only engine stamp I can find is I think: 1uyo 348 c3. The other thing is there is no manual start, only electric.
  5. So it looks as though I might need to get a dc cdi, I think the one I purchased was an ac as it's a bit smaller. I will get a dc one and see if that works
  6. I have found Ali has quite a few parts for hondas, I bought a new carb from there for something like $40, worked just like the old one. I also got brake shoes cheap and good.
  7. I'll say good morning to most of you and good night to the rest of us
  8. The guy I bought it off thought it was an 88. By the left footpeg is where a long flat bar has been welded sadly, so can't see the vin. Where is the engine number stamped?
  9. Hi all, new to here, looks like a great site. Own two atvs, an at the moment not working honda fourtrax and a yamaha moto4 of some description, trying to work out what model yammy it is.
  10. I have used 5w30 full synthetic for around 10 years in mine because that's what my car requires and never had an issue.
  11. Hopefully someone can help me out, I purchased a 350 moto4 2wd while I'm trying to fix a dying honda. I can't see the vin number as there was damage and a bar has been welded where I think the vin should be, The decals say 350 moto4 Huntaway, it has the square gear change low, high, reverse up on the left of the handlebars and it has three rectangle lights up on the dash. after googling I'm struggling to find anything called huntaway, Any ideas? Thanks.
  12. Thanks, I just need to get to ten posts to download it 🙃
  13. I think it's a 1989
  14. The kill switch is defiantly working, checked at the wire end for open and closed. Does the stator not go through the rectifier before the cdi? I will have a go at measuring it at the cdi end. I have measured at the coil in, it is impossible with an analog meter, but the output dc looked high, what should the output dc to the coil be? I have hard wired most of the joins by the cdi area as some of them had corroded, I thought I'd found the issue in one of the wires, but that would be too easy. Thanks for your help
  15. New to the forum here, hoping someone can help. I have replaced the cdi, coil and sparkplug yet still no spark. The measurements for the igniter and stator are what they are supposed to be, the kill switch is working as it should, the neutral light is working as well. Any ideas where else to look before i start trying to pull it apart for the stator and igniter?
