let me clarify a little. when it starts it runs great, other times it will crank over and wont start,it has no spark. thanks

i need some tech help. i just picked up a 96 80 cc badger, the problem is sometimes it will start right up and run great and the next time you try it, it wont even start, i unplugged the on-off switch and that didnt help. any thoughts please? stator? cdi? thanks
