Hi All, New here and have a quad project (in the title) that needs alot of work! So I'll be bugging you guys from time to time with some Q's It's even got a cracked frame (in a couple of places), never been washed in it's life and is a bit of wreck but the girlfriend likes it so thats my life for the nexct however long lol Cheers ScrappyD

Also check your vacuum pipe and fuel feed pipe for splits, check the carb mounting rubber too ..... if they suck air in from rubber splits/leaks it causes the same symptoms.

Have you tried eBay or AliExpress? -
CDI? Obviously the stator feeds this, did you disturb the wiring? Check the wiring plugs ... pull them apart and spray with contact cleaner and reconnect. Also did you do the stator checks on the new one (even though it's new it could be broken or earthing)?

Battery issue .. check terminals are tight, charging issue .. is the battery being charged ok when engine is running. Low oil issue?
