Have you checked timing? Or for a bad flywheel keyway?

High rpms will cause the primary clutch to partially engage making it hard to shift.

I agree. My kid knows no helmet no riding the atv. if I catch her braking any of the rules we discussed with her before buying her atv she knows she will loose the atv and never het it back and this is non negotiable.

I have the wiring digrams for the 2001 scrmbler 400

Check the detent spring located by were thr shifter connects to the trans. If you can remove it try moving the shifter with it out. If their is a differnce ket me know.

For 2 stroke engine the compression spec is 115 psi For 4 stroke engine it has a auto decompression valve spec is 50 to 90 psi

I believe the GS battery is the original one. I did what you are doing with an aftermarket battery and have had no issues since I did. Well worth the extra money.

The factory Polaris battery for the youth ATVs are not the best. They need to be left on a maintainer anytime the vehicle is not used.

My daughter's 2017 outlaw 110 had to replace the battery after a month. Did the same thing. Ever since I replaced the battery I keep it on a battery maintainer had not had any issues since.

EFI is playing up. Could also be bad gas.

Not sure what is different but the manuals did change. I just uploaded the 05 predator 50 cc service manual. It just needs admin approval before it will be available for download. I hope it helps you

I googled the part number the eBay one is currently sold out. The only other place I could find one would be from the dealer.

You need a special Polaris tool part number pu-47082 with a 9 volt battery plugged into tool you adjust the tps until .710 volts is shown on your DVOM.
