Hello from southeast Georgia. Was gifted a 2000 Yamaha bear tracker with out a carb or battery and looking like it had seen better days. Was told it had sat for about three years. Explained a lot. Put a carb on and a battery in and it started right up. Surprised the heck out of me Anyhow as stated in my opening I am 78 years old with a very long motorcycle backgground but brand new to atv's. Anyone else out here from Georgia? Would like to meet up with some folks for a ride or two. Looks like a great site. Thanks for having me. Don1 point

Hey all, Thanks for having me in the forum. I just purchased my first ATV and am stoked to understand more about it. The first stupid question will be, what is everyone's maintenance schedule? DO yo follow the recommended intervals or build one yourself based on the machine. Thanks in advance.1 point

Thanks. Yep it looks like a wonderful site. No more motorcycles for me. Over the last winter I contracted a thing called Gillian Barre Syndrome that left me paralyzed. I am getting better every day but my balance is still off. Can't even walk right yet, but at least I am walking which is more than I could do 5 months ago so I'm a happy camper.1 point

hi keithandmoola joined today. thank you. I drive a Suzuki 185 1984version. Also have four Suzuki 125s. Two of them are drivable and two are in pieces to make one more someday in the future. i enjoy not having to get Minnesota tabs every year anymore and since they are out at the old farmstead all winter its handy not having to deal with batteries . They areold and require repairs so thats the main reason i joined. I have some manuals but nothing better than a place to pose problems and questions. Started with one twenty years ago and added the others as grandkids got big enough to ride and the wheelers are small enough that roll overs arent deadly.1 point

It's been a long time since I have used a forum, I was the admin of one for quite a few years, had thousands of daily active members, with lots of crazy posts and spammers, so I salute the admins. Anyway, just waving my greasy hands, Hopefully I can help others out.1 point

It wasn't ATV related, it was related to a long running local television show here in Ohio (movie host) and I owned and operated the website/forum, eventually I stepped down and handed the keys away. It was quite a time consuming thing. lol...I used to get calls in the middle of the night from moderators because spammers were posting hundreds of threads. I had enough of that, was fun though.1 point

We try to go by the maintenance schedules, but also recommend at least once a year oil changes and then depending on what the atv is used for more frequent services on other components as needed1 point

Hello from Bristol Va!! Retired combat vet who is just too darn worn out to keep hiking to the top of the hills here, so I grabbed a fakebook marketplace 800 buck 2001 Bombardier Quest 650 that needed fixed up from all the "fix'n" the prior owner did. UGH!! I plan to use it as a workhorse in my woods and pastures and take it exploring in the National forests and state parks around here. Be seeing ya' around, Mike1 point
