SOLVED!! there was just a little bit of dirt in the jet on top of the carb where the diaphragm is. Sprayed brake clean through and it popped out if the idle jet screw area. Runs perfect again!
I have a craftsman angled like that, it has flat head on one end and Phillips on the other but not as long a handle plus it doesnt have the large Rond line up area, it looks like a good tool that would work well. Good job finding that.

I think while sitting on it to adjust you need to remove the air tube on the left side to access the carb, I tried several different things small ratchet with screw driver bit, shorty screw driver and I think I ended up using a flexible screwdriver, but I can't remember if that was on the sportsman or the scrambler I know it was the 500 engine .
