  1. Thanks again for the help. Got some fishing to do yet this year and have a sled to use for that. I'll play with it.

  2. Sounds like the seller didn't have the stock wheels on the front. You can look up the rims and tires for your quad on this site and compare the specs listed there with what your front wheels actually are. That should tell you if that is the problem . http://www.mud-throwers.com/atv_wheel_chart

  3. It is amazing how fast they rust, i drilled out a few bolts holding my plastics on while working on my recent project and while doing so it got too hot and melted the plastic 😢 and the hole was about 3/4 of an inch since it was a large pan head type bolt that held the plastic to the metal bracket. I had to use a large washer to rebolt the plastics up due to that screw up. But def go with the stainless if you can.

  4. I drilled out the old broken bolts on what they sent me which only holds the plastic on. Using new bolts and nuts with lock washers. Used the old bolts to mount to the frame. I think over the summer I'm going to take some of the plastics off and remove rust and coats some of the metal.

  5. I ended up getting these on ebay before the holidays. They were used and I had to drill out some of the bolts, but issue solved.

  6. This is exactly what probably happened and has happened to me a few times. There should be a plug to release the water on the bottom of the belt housing. See #4 in the diagram below: If you need the manual, there is one here: * Manufacturer and issue added to topic title.

  8. Yes, typically sport quad front tires are more narrow and taller than the rears. In most cases even on 4WD and AWD fronts are more narrow for turning.

  9. Here is a little bit of input on a few ways to bring up the codes. It seems that some models are diffent and turning the ignition on and off does not work on some models. I called my friend who has a 05 said you have to turn the key off wait a few seconds and hold the yellow override button down and turn ignition on and then press the yellow button to scroll through the options and if there is a code it will come up. The bike can be running or not and has to be in neutral and 2wd. I’m attaching a few links that he pointed to watch. Good luck.

  10. Your revs going up and no drive power to the wheels was because your CVT transmission belt and clutches got wet. It doesn't take a lot of water entering the housing and wetting the belt to make it slip . CVT transmissions drive on the sides of the drive belt .. Since the clutches are smooth, they lose grip on the belt when wet ..As soon as the clutches and belt start drying they regain their grip. A worn belt will slip much quicker than a new one since it is narrower due to the wear on the sides as it is used. Definitely check all the fluids for water that may have entered through the various vents on the differentials, transmission and motor.
