My Stable is LEAN these days. You will be happy to know that I bought a Quad in 08. A Raptor 700R. I put a weekend on it and it has been parked ever since. Worst purchase Ive ever made!!! My Yamaha shop even tried to talk me out of it.. About 8 Hrs total. My son wont let me sell it as he wants it in a few yrs. LOL..I still have one Trike. My trusty Tri-Z. I havent ridden it since 07? Just bought a 2014 RZR 800s a few months ago. With AGE comes a CAGE is a very true statement. I will enjoy this until I retire in a few yrs then get a bigger one!!!

Im 56. Raced 3 ATV MX Nationals this year. Still not last!

No cage for me as Im surely not "that" old.....:D

I dont blame you for not wanting to get on that 700. Youd prolly get a altitude nose bleed. My 250R sat low enough my elbows dragged, not my knuckles...LMAO

Does your son get into boating? Why else would he want a blue anchor?! :D :D :D

51 and ATV with kid on my Eiger 400- after many years on Dirtbike including broken ankle and plate in my wrist. But I now am totally into snowmobiling again. Can't wait for snow to hit. OH, MI, NY riding. My neighbor has a 900 CanAm razor, looks cool, sounds cool, but he has to haul if far to get to good areas to ride. I refuse to play old....

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I thought we'd never see you again! I feel like its a reunion. WELCOME BACK, we missed you MWKE!!! It's been like 4 years I think...I had to do a double take just now while I was browsing the site... Don't leave for another 4!!!

* Just a quick note, MWKE joined QC back in 2006 and was a major reason we were able to grow in the earlier years!

Just came back myself and am glad to see a recent post by the infamous MWKE!!! Hope all is well BUD! I had a lot going on, we had a second child, some job changes and went back to school 2 years ago...but I've decided to see if I can jump back into it and help some peeps around here. Going to be the big 40 next month and just put the plow back on the 04 grizzly! Gotta do more riding!!!!!!

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.
First one is Slow Motion of How it Happens.
Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

      5 broken Ribs
      1 Punctured Lung
      1 Broken Collar Bone
2023 Quad Riding Season is Over for ME!

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

If anyone is having issues with the Mikuni VM24SS carb, I thought I would post what issues I had and how I resolved them.
Acquired a 93 Bayou 220 that had sat for over 4 years.
The carb was extremely corroded and pitted and full of leftover fuel.
Cleaned carb and bowl and was able to get the engine to start.
Within 30 seconds exhaust would heat up and start to glow red hot.
Removed carb and recleaned everything, including a second overnight soak.
Needless to say, after removing the carb for the 5th time and my frustration to the limit I
realized that my attention had been to the carb body and not to the bowl.
There is a small brass rod on the bottom of the carb that goes down into the float bowl but is seperated from the main section. I had cleaned that area very well....I had thought.
***The corrosion had sealed off the channel that runs from the main bowl section to the small tube section on the side of the float bowl. No amount of carb cleaner was going to get it to budge. So i took a small nail and started to scrape away the corrosion and was eventually able to dislodge enought of the corrosion that carb cleaner would flow through that channel. ***
I thoroughly cleaned each side of the channel in the float bowl and reinstalled the carb and now the issue of it running lean is gone.
On a second note the fuel mixture screw was a nightmare to remove as the threads had been corroded and wouldnt let the screw come out. I used a little cutting oil and worked the mixture screw in and out until I was able to push past the corroded threads and completely remove the needle. After a couple passes with a tap to clean the threads it is like new again.
Hope this helps if you are having a lean running machine.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
