2006 Suzuki KingQuad 700 - No Idle

Ran it out of gas last month... Works fine for 3 or so days then refuses to start.... Changed out the sparkplug and it will run for 15 or so seconds before shutting off.... Cleaned out the fuel system and injector and it misses when idling as well as shutting off at idle every so often... It is giving me no other issues and sounds and runs fine while riding... Only issue is cutting off at idle.....

Ideas anyone??

make sure the battery is fully charged and let the fuel system "cycle" itself before you start it ...

take a paperclip and insert the 2 ends into the diagnostic plug and turn key on ... that should display a code to narrow down the search

Mine dies the same thing    I put new battery and battery connections. Changed the spark plug and still no idle. Runs great  when riding just won’t idle starts idles for a second or two and dies.  Sure could use some help!

I have read that some of those had a weak ground wire.  Might try adding a heavier gauge ground wire to better ground the battery to the frame.  You can also check battery voltage while running; it should exceed 12V if the stator is doing it's job.

Check the fuel pressure . Go to manuals.lib and look up the manual for your quad and look under fuel system and find the spec for your fuel pressure.
