We Have Topped Out An Outty 800 At 77 Miles An Hour. Things Get Real Light On The Front End About Then , Tho.

Too D--mn Quick . I Ride The 650 Xt, Have Had It To The Mid 60's, More There Just My Clangers Got A Might Bit Mushy About Then, Really Have To Watch It When Travelling Rough Conditions, The Machine Will Do It And Handle It Well, But A Rut At 60 Plus Is Scary Sh----t, Now What I Mean.

We have one of the 800 HO double seaters .. we call her "Double Trouble" and she's whipped the sox off of just about every other 4 wheeler in our little town in Southwestern VA. My husband & his cousin love putting Double Trouble up against all comers. The closest heat was another/newer 800 .. they were pretty well even-steven, and the winner was always the one that took the holeshot the best.

Hubby says he's had her up to about 77 and he thought there was more to her, but he decided not to try for anymore. I thought he was out of his mind even going as fast as he did! The only saving grace was that the beer cooler strapped on the front helped hold her down, if you ask me!

Does anyone else have issues with HEAT? .. the sides of Double Trouble get darned hot! .. especially in the summer (in winter it's an asset .. LOL!). Double Trouble got so hot that it melted the underside of the seat .. we put some insulating material under it after that.

My husband was wondering if it would help to put 2 exhausts on it?

I agree that it may be the most powerful, that motor is a beast but, I must disagree on a few things. First- the Renegade 800 is probably faster lighter and handles better, but it is not a true utility quad, more of a ute/sport hybrid. 2nd, any modern sport quad will have far superior handling to any utility quad. That being said, if you were to say that it was the most powerful, best handling, most innovative UTILITY ATV you can buy, I would have to agree.

I love it when old threads get revived, I think it's the coolest thing ever. I started this thread back in August of 2007...almost 3 years ago. How cool is that!!! 3 years hanging around here...holy crap!

I assume you mean UTV, and I am pretty sure that the Outlander 800 would hand the Commander it's as* in a drag race. I know the Renegade 800 would for sure. There is just no way to get all that extra weight to move as fast as an ATV, even the Commander 1000 wouldn't stand a chance against a Renegade 800. It is, however, a pretty sweet machine as far as UTV's go.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?
