This seems crazy expensive, though that price includes a winch, ball hitch and snowplow.

What do you think?

I know this is old, but I hate seeing 0 reply threads. The machine looks in decent shape. But by its self, only worth ~600/700 max. Will all the other stuff, I would try to get him down to 450/550 for the bike and if the wench and plow are in 'great' shape, 300 for the both. So 800 to start, no higher than say 975ish. Or just tell 'em to keep the darn wench and plow lol.

Check the atv over well though. See if it has any gunk built up on the engine (oil). See if it idles good, if the battery has been maintained. The air filter is in good shape. All the lights work. When you get it to operating temp see if it leaks any oil (and how bad). Make sure it doesn't smoke. Etc... See if they are using quality oil (all you can do is ask really). Check the front end components for any damage. Good clutches and etc. All these things can help negotiate the price down to your budget range.

So 800 - 975 and negotiate down further for any problems you see with the above list.

I have a Yamaha Timberwolf 4x4 250. I want to put a winch on it, but just wondering if the charging system will handle it or not ? Has anyone added one to their machine and have you had any issues?

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?

Ok guys, I am a glutton for punishment! I picked up this 01 2wd Rancher because the plastics looked good on the marketplace. It has been sitting in the guys back yard for 10 years. The original engine blew and they swapped in an electric shift 4x4 engine. 😒The engine is locked up and was full of water. The wiring is hacked where they tried to get it to run and the rear end needs new swingarm bearings where they left it laying on the ground in the woods for 10 years. Has anyone here ever did the engine swap? First thing is to straighten out the wiring and get the engine free to see if I can get it to crank over. I have swingarm bearings ordered and a new ignition switch. So hopefully I can at least roll it around soon. 🤣

Pulled my '86 Moto4 out of shed where it sat for 20 years. I knew it smoked. checked it over a little put in gas and it fired right up!!
Drove about 100 yards, ran about half throttle wouldn't idle.  Put on somenew parts, jug/piston and rings, carb and valve seals.
'went together ok, tuned it over by hand about 6 revs whick went well. Hit the starter it fired for about 6 revs and quit. tried it again fired once and then th sound of something slipping like maybe chain slipping over spoket.
Took cover off to watch cam sproket, hit starter again, heard same noise and the cam sproket was not turning but jumping a bit. Chain was still tight. You will probably tell me I need to split the lower case but hoping there mightbe something else.
I don't fully understand the chain tightener, the plunger only moves about 1/4 inch, should it move much more than that when off the motor and compressing it by hand?
      Thanks for any thoughts.
