Hi all,
Looking for some help on a starter/bendix issue. Can Am outlander 450 2017. While cranking to start, the starter spins and engages into the ring gear. After a few seconds the bendix retracts while still spinning and there is no damaged teeth on the drive pulley. -

I've a thought, don't know if it's worthwhile but... Has anyone used any sort of rubber protectant on their boots. I'm bringing back an old machine that sat in the field of lost dreams for years. The boots aren't ripped or dry rotted but I would like them to last a while.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Having problems with the battery draining while riding. It has a new battery, it does have eps, a lightbar and a winch. Can ride it for an hour or more just fine, but eventually the battery runs down to the point it can't keep up with fuel injection and it'll sputter, limp, and die. It also throws codes for the throttle position sensor. I'm not sure if that is related or not. Any ideas?

Hi,
New to ATV repair but willing to learn and get my hands dirty.
We start the atv and even with a good battery, it will drain it very quickly and eventually the atv shuts down. Checking the battery afterwards shows significant drain on it.
Would this be a shot alternator? Some electronics module?
Thank you kindly. Just need to be pointed in the right direction and then with a repair manual will get to it.
Cheers

I have a 2002 Arctic cat 300 4x4 that died on me. I was headed out ice fishing and got caught in a snow drift. I got off and was pushing it while using the throttle, I was making good progress until I heard a "click" then it died. ATV hasn't made a noise since. It had fresh oil, new battery, and a fresh rebuild on the carb. I am hoping someone can help me get it running again or at least give me a starting point.
