Aside from changing the oil and filters etc. what do you guys routinely do to maintain/tune-up your quad while the "season" KS over and the machine will be basically over for a few mos. I have a 2006 Sportsman 500 EFI APand I want to keep it a long time and want to do all I can to see that that happens.

Thanks in advance for your time,

Bill

Yes all fluids changed. If you have 4x4 check all shafts and diff fluids. Take off plastics and do a visually frame/chasis inspection. Remove all electrical connectors and fill with dielectric grease. Use a ethanol treatment in gas tank. Thoughly clean off seasons mud and gunk. Any machined surface gets a spray of wd40 except for brake rotors obviously. Spray cleaned plastics and tires with armor-all or spray wax. Check tire pressure. Remove spark plug and put a couple teaspoons of motor oil in there. Crank over motor for a second then reinstall plug.

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.
