Im from Eastern Washington. Came to Dallas to do some work related things.

Holy Crap!!! Its hot!!!! 109 today in Arlington. Everyone from Texas says "I love Texas. I'll never leave, WOOOHOOO TEXAS!!!! ( screamed with a raised beer in hand )

I got thinking about riding quads down here and I just think of the hot air pounding my red face at 40mph. Well ok 35mph - My quads not that fast.

But still. Do you ride in this heat??

I think I actually bumped my head on the sun today.

Yeah I agree with Swampcat. I usually ride in spring and fall. I would like to in winter, but my area only seems to get freeaing cold temps and ice anymore. I am always saying I want snow and usually the only time it comes is when I can't get out on the quad.

Everyone usally does not ride in the summer more like in the spring and fall and even winter. Check out Canal Road on youtube.

that looks like a fun ride, don't think the TB would make it through unless it was tied to another for a pull though:laugh:

Hi. I just joined the community. I have a sheep farm and use a Polaris 500HO, Polaris 700efi and a JD Gator 825i for different jobs around the farm. I do all the repairs myself so I am sometimes needing some advice and maybe I can be of some help to others as well.

Ok so I bought the 05 brute force and after putting about 60miles on it I have some concerns.
The engine seems to run REALLY HOT, like almost burnning my legs through my jeans hot but no warning light comes on and it doesnt seem to "act" hot is this normal, does it have any saftey feature to prevent over heating or heat damage?
It also seems to have a slight miss, or hesitation? When you slightly crack the throttle open and hold it at a steady RPM to give it a slightly higher idle it will run smooth for a couple seconds then miss and sometimes backfires. It also seems to sometimes have a hesitation if you jump on the throttle, what could cause this?
Also a couple times when shifting from reverse to high it sounded like it got hung up in between and there was a slight squeal as if maybe the belt was slipping and there was also a slight burning plastic of rubber smell. The belt IS new and it doesnt feel as if it is slipping when accelerating and the belt light hasnt come on.
      Anyone have any suggestions?
It does seem to run really well and HARD accept for the slight hesitation or cough and the occasional backfire, I ran it up to 69MPH with both me and a buddy of mine on it, combined weight of almost 500lbs

Hi. I just bought an lt230 1993.  Ive started buying parts for a full rebuild.  But somehow beskepedal has been removed and pegs welded to where They are supposed to be screwed.    I was wondering if anyone have one and Could measure how far out the pegs are.  Like the peg the brake is put on and then peg outside of it.  And the one lower down.  So i can recreate them.
