i finally managed to make it to the trails today, been trying four days to go!! this is the first time to really ride my king quad since i removed the fuel injection, other than just around the neighborhood. i took it out to the gravel pit, had one of my neighbors ride my honda so there was backup. both bikes done great ... until we got to the frog pond!!! i decided to take the trail through the back edge of the pond, got all the way around and then right as i was getting back into the pond i sunk it!! it went down to the handle bars, luckily I put a snorkel on when i put the carburetor on it!! it stayed running, but i never even thought of sealing the belt cover and running a snorkel of that!! it would not move in high range, would try to and just slip, in low range it would move as long as i didnt gas it too hard, just shut it down and towed it back, tomorrow im taking the bike apart and thoroughly cleaning and sealing everything, and replacing belt:aargh:

yeah, but you had fun didn't you? That happens once in a while. You get a moment where you think to yourself, man this sucks, but then it hits you, man that was great. I want to fix this thing and do it again.

I'm not upset at all!! We had a blast!!! It's been raining all day so haven't taken it apart yet, hopefully I didn't burn up the belt, if I did I did, all part of having fun!! Just wish I could get the videos to load so I could share the fun. They are recorded in the wrong format!! I can email them and I posted a couple to Facebook

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.
First one is Slow Motion of How it Happens.
Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.
