That has happened to me twice with my Trailblazer. Firts time it was a blocked fuel filter and the second time the belt was slipping. The fuel filter had a hesitation or sputter and jumped as the fuel got through. The belt just made it jump as it slipped and grabbed.

did the fuel line and belt help?? it just kinda seems like it loses power and it jumps enough that the whole machine feels like the rear end it comeing off the ground. but if i kinda father its alittle better

From what you a describing it sounds like a fuel issue. Either the filter or the carb needs to be cleaned or adjusted. Also check the plug to see what kind of condition that is in. The plug will usually show if you have a lean or rich fuel problem.

It could be fuel, but my gut says it's a belt/clutch issue. When was the last time you checked the belt? How many miles are on the belt? ------I only suggest the belt because my sled acted the same way. 04 Polaris 700.....that sucker would rip-it off the line then lag off and vibrate like crazy, like it was loosing power from the motor. I did'nt check the belt until it exploded during our usual "field races".:realmad: Glad I had a spare! When I changed tto the spare I saw how dirty the whole area was with rubber debris. New belt and cleanded evreything up and it screamed again. I'd be checking the belt and sheeves on the clutch and secondary. Make sure the belt is in good shape & within specs & that your sheeves are clean.

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

Hi my name is Greg and I just acquired a free 2000 yamaha kodiac 400 4x4 with the ultramatic transmission that does not run. I plan to get it going and use it around my property

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
