I bought a used Chinese 110cc atv. The seller had no knowledge of anything on it.

It won't start but that's only one of my problems.

First I'd like to know what I have. Its a 2006 and manufactured by Zhejiang Chisheng Industry and Trading Co. and Imported by Seaseng Inc. It has a logo sticker on the front that say "MDI". It has a large number on the side that says "110ST." Even with this info I can't find anything telling me what this is. Is it a MDI? Is it a Seasheng? What the heck do I call this thing?

Second, after I know what to call this thing, where can I get a user and service manual?

Third, It did not have a battery so I took a shot in the dark and bought the only 12Vdc battery that would fit in the tiny battery compartment. Obviously I had no idea if it had the cranking amps needed. Where can I find out what type of 12Vdc battery to get for this thing?

Fourth, I installed the battery and the lights worked but the electric start would do nothing, even click a relay or anything. So I ran a wire directly from the "+" terminal of the battery to the starter post and it turned over but wouldnt start. I made sure the lanyard button was not the problem.

Fifth, The remote control just blinks when I press every button. Does the remote have anything to do with anything?

Thanks for any help !

I forgot to mention I dont think the handle bar switch assembly is bad because the light switch works. Also the key ignition switch seems to be fine too because the lights won't work without it in the on position.

I need to know what components are in between the "+" terminal of the battery and the starter because something is bad in that path. Is there a relay? a solenoid? an electric ignition module? I have no clue what is there.

I'm surfing the net and found a chinese atv parts site, so thats cool but without a schematic or a manual I don't know what I got. Anybody out there a chinese 110 atv guru?

those chinese built quads are always trouble. anybody i know thats had them said that they break all the time. its hard to say what it could be. every quad has a cdi box and if thats bad it won t turn over or do anything. theres relays and solenoids on them but it be hard to figure out which one it is without a manual. sometimes if the spring in the starter button will rust up and go bad. that can cause it not to start too.

Check your starter solenoid. (the switch that should be between your starter positive and your battery positive wires). If thats not the problem, check your fuses, as well as any neutral safety and shut off switches. You may have a switch on the foot and/or hand brake, on/off (kill) switch by the start button, or as was stated by rappy97, it coulc be a lose or shorted wire. Could also be a bad cdi.

you have to pull the brake while pressing the starter button. There is a lanyard on the back of the machine, sort of under the rear seat that can be pulled to stop the engine, be sure the little button inside the lanyard is in all the way. Make sure your remote control has not killed the engine. There is a choke on the right side of the carburetor kind of up under the seat. You have to get down on your knees and look under the seat to see it.

1st problem, Does anyone know where I can find a stock carb for my Timberwolf, I have tried two different aftermarket carbs and they both suck. The machine runs great until it gets good and warm, then it keeps stalling unless I feather the throttle. it will even stall while I'm trying to go from 1st to reverse or vise versa. I took it to a buddy of mine who is a bike mechanic for years, and he told me try to find a factory carb. When I look online from dealers it says "NOT AVAILABLE" anyone have any suggestions ?

2nd, The small tab on the rear axle for towing is to short for even pulling my small yard trailer, I can't even turn a little bit and hit hits. I tried making an extension which worked great as far as length, but it bends the tab and then the extension drags the ground. I have an idea of what to do to fix it, but wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and see how you solved it.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.
