I put about 25 easy miles on it this weekend to break it in. The power is very noticable over the teryx and I love the way the seating is laid out. The is alot of space and almost everything is adjustable.

The only two faults I could find so far is that the shocks are set too stiff and there is a werid squeek somewhere on the SXS.

Thanks I went with the 800 because it has been tested and proven for many years and can am even noted 18mpg but I will believe that when I see it. If I was racing the thing I would have went with the 1000 but for a trail bike it should have plenty of power.

Ya I think she is used to having other brands in the shop. The wildcat was my first choice but it is just too wide. She has seen her share of trail riding but now with more and more runs through the pit the Cat is just pretty much set up for WOT runs through the mud pit. I still trail ride it sometimes but the high center of gravity makes off camber really hard to navigate.

Thanks so far so good. I am almost at 1000 miles on it so far.

So after 1000+ miles how do you feel about the SxS? Good and bad? I looked at them and thought that it was a bumpier ride than the quad. Just my take using it on a demo trail.

Like to hear other thoughts.

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

Hi my name is Greg and I just acquired a free 2000 yamaha kodiac 400 4x4 with the ultramatic transmission that does not run. I plan to get it going and use it around my property

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.
