When did it start ? (pulling to the left )

wen i get on other forwheelers the handling feels wierd cause im used to mine pullin to the left..... if u hold the handlebars completely straight it starts driving off to the left side of the road:skeptic:

Ok so if it pulls while doing wheelies you eliminate the front end. Mine would always pull to the left because of a slightly bent axle. How it did i have no idea. But i pressed it straight and made it round again. No more pull.

Now your case could be:

Rear tire pressure

Out of round tire (over inflated once by accident)

Axle or carrier bearings siezing

Frame damage

ok is it possible tht the pulllin to the left could be connected with the sounds the rear is makin like the bearings perhaps?

Quite possible. I would remove the rear axle and have a peek at the bearings. If one makes any noise while you spin em replace both

If one bearing is shot it might be causing a drag on the chain. Have you noticed any power loss?

There could be alot of factors but its best to eliminate what is not causing the problem first if your not sure.

Just out of curiosity does it pull to the left when you get a wheelie going?

it may vere do to the chain being on the let side low tire pressure bearing carrier being out the way you are setting on the seat. tread tire wear differnt size tires in height and in wideth

I’ve got a 2000 400ex with a dg slip on muffler, it came with he stock muffler on it but the previous owner had the dg in a box so I put it on. I’ve been riding it for the past month and a half and every time I let off it backfires, and the other day the backfires got way louder, 2x louder! I’m concerned that I may hurt my motor? Why does is backfire??? Thanks

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

So I’ve got a 2000 Honda 400ex absolutely love it!! I’ve had it for about a month, I ride with bruteforce 750’s, outlander 850’s and 1000 sxs’s and I was thinking of getting a trx450r carb and a full hmf exhaust. And probably doing the air box mod too, how much power would this give my 400? Just a little different or a big difference? Cuz if it’s not much of a different I’ll just stick with my dg slip on..... thanks!

Anyone have bad experience with these clutch kits?  Looking to get one for an 80s quad that I have.

Hi guys, so Im i cam across this pretty nice quad. Its a 2003 400ex. Its priced at a little over $1,000. The seller states that it was previously rebuilt and has a hot cam in it. However, it is not firing. He says that it turns over and has spark. He also redid the wiring harness and still couldnt get it to run. I have some experience with quads from previously owning one.

My thoughts are its either something witht he wiring harness(cdi, kill switch...) or it isnt getting the right amount of fuel(needs carb rebuilt) or it's the valves. Or could it be timing? What do you guys think? Let me know!

I have attached a video so you guys can see how it sounds like. I feel like it wants to start but is missing something...
