We use it in the dunes, especially when we visit new dunes. It came in extremely handy for a poker run last memerial day when the locations of the poker stops were kept secret. With over 6,000 to cover, we used my tracks to record where we had been and where we hadn't...yet!

It works great but. like swampcat said, it puts a heavy strain on your battery. We have no problems with short trips around an hour or so but for longer excursions, we put them in the Rhino's, RZR's, etc that have charging ports installed.

Any other gps apps that you guys would recommend? Should i give back country navigator free or pro a shot? Or should i get a stand alone. I have no 12v plug on my quad.

You can get a stand alone cheap black friday. I picked up my garmin for less that 100 Bucks with maps. The batteries last all day even in the cold and if they get weak it saves power and still tracks you for a while. I always carry a spare set of batteries just in case and never had a problem.

Etrex Venture HC - I had it for about four years now so there may be something better out there but for what I use it for it works great. All I do is turn the tracks on when I leave and tag the parking spot. Then if I get turned around I just pull it out of the glove box and see where I am at and how far from the parking area.

I've been using Valvolene 10w 40 ATV oil but, it's like $8.00 a quart. Is that about the going rate? Or is there cheaper alternatives that would be suitable? Thanks

I’m looking for a top end kit for a Yamaha. I would like to see how well the engine runs before spending $6-$7 hundred on oem. Niche has complete kits from $1-$2 hundred.  Anyone have experience with Niche or similar Chinese companies?

Does anyone use GPS, whether on a device or app to record their ATV trail rides? I have been thinking about a section where our members can upload let's say a .gpx file and share their rides on a google map for others to see where there are riding areas. Not sure if this is something of interest or how much it would be used, so just trying to get an idea.

      Hello All
I have a 1987 Suzuki dual range 230 and a 96 bayou 220. I'm trying to figure what oil to use. I normally put Amzoil synthetic in most everything. But I understand there are concerns over the wet clutch. I've heard rotella 10w40 full synthetic,5w40 synthetic,10w30&40 non synthetic. I do live in Michigan, so temps cold and hot are encountered. It could be below zero or 90 degrees farenhight. I don't have manuals for them. Any help is greatly appreciated!
