I have a new mechanical seal ordered for this machine, I see in a lot of other threads that while I'm replacing this to replace the oil seal right behind it. Looking on bike bandit for specs I see no oil seal, just a ball bearing? Is there an oil seal there and where may I find one to order or is it the ball bearing I need to replace?

I think Gearhead is right, the oil seal should be right behind the ball bearing. I also agree with Pete's opinion to just go ahead an replace the bearing and seal since you are in there IMHO.

I did replace the mechanical seal and oil seal, runs like a champ now! Anyone tries to do this w\o a manual it is very simple to pull everything with a 2.5" drywall screw and reset with a socket for the oil seal. The mechanical i machined a piece of 2" od 1 3/8 id tube down to 1.65 to set the seal and it worked 1st shot, using a socket i busted the ceramic piece twice and had to get a new seal lol (learning expierience) Thanks everyone for the help!!

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Does the 1987 moto 4 350 have a low oil sensor that kills spark? Or are these too old for that kind of thing?
