Thats great news! I ordered 26" Sti mud trax to see how they work out, they seem to have very good reviews and are cheaper than the itp mudlites. 4k promark winch shipped out today so the machine should be ready soon, pics to come after all mounting done! Ajm thanks for adjusting the thread title, still no good at this forum thing....

Have to go with 25" tires, 26s I want dont come in 8" wide and i dont wanna run spacers in the front, ordered Kenda Executioners to replace the stocks instead

Should be good, you'll notice a difference over stock.

Got the machine out today for her maiden voyage at the atv park, runs like a champ but my coolant res goes empty very quickly while riding. No coolant found in my oil but is seeping from the weep hole, not sure if i need a new pump n gasket or if theres air in the system. Never popped a hot light at me either, very odd. Clymers manual is ordered, hopefully fixed soon.....

I haven't changed it before, i'v only had the machine for 2 weeks n had to keep filling the reservoir when i had it out. It jus seems to disappear, that's wen i noticed it coming out of the weep hole on the case. Eveything else seems to be in good order but the coolant issue so i'm hoping a new pump, cover, impeller and seal will fix my issue with new coolant. Since i have to tear it down anyways...

the water pump on a polaris 700 is a normal trait for leaking. they make an updated water pump and gasket. and it takes all of an hour to change it and the coolant.

Also the clymer manuals are a complete waste of time. if you go to the polaris dealership parts counter they will download the actual manual for free. or they will give u the website. that is another perk of owning a polaris.

Also added my 25" Executioners, high flo air filter and stage 1 power kit with power programmer for my efi. Maiden voyage this Sat at my buddys atv mud fest. No leaks at all and seems to run flawlessly, we'll see how she does under mud an water!

Have you ever been on the trail and your tire valve goes bad. No way to break down the wheel and replace it. A lot of you probably know about this already i had heard of it but never used one. Just punch out the old one insert and tighten down the nut

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

Troubleshooting a no spark issue, was running OK, maybe a little rich, turned it off, now no spark. I've checked/ohmed out the main key switch, the start/stop switch, neutral switch, brake switch - all good. It will crank the starter, but no spark with the starter or when I try the pull start. I've checked all fuses and diodes. Swapped battery. New plug. New coil. Swapped in a used CDI - no help. Traced, removed, cleaned, reattached all grounds. Removed things like my winch from the circuits to be sure a bad relay or something was dragging it down. When testing voltages, the orange wire going from the CDI to the ignition coil shows no/very low voltage-shouldn't it have 12V on it? Sometimes I get a very weak, intermittent glow on my spark tester, but not enough to fire the plug. I've checked continuity on just about all wires in the harness. Checked/cleaned/lubed w dielectric grease- all connections, redid a few that looked old/dirty. I've checked the stator resistances, all good, but have a stator and rectifier ordered anyway, will arrive Sunday. I verified that the rectifier has a voltage output back to charge the battery while cranking - 10.5-11V, low, but expected while starter is engaged. What else can I check as part of troubleshooting? I have a Haines service manual, but the 1999 350 4x4 seems to be an odd model, there isn't an exact electrical diagram for it, but found one for another year that has all the same number of wires and same color wires, so I've referenced that. Any hints, tips or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
