Ok I have a 2001 king quad 300 it crapped out about two months ago rite before I put my snorkle kit on. Well I had it all taken appart putting the snorkle on and I decided to go ahead with the kit before fixing the original problem ( yes I know bad idea ) it was running before the kit. It would idle fine but when u reved it up it bogged out and backfired with white smoke common sighns of flooding out so I adjusted the carb after cleaning it 12 hours in soapy water and thorough cleaning on the outside and inside it still ran the same I bought a carb kit and still the same I went back throughout the carb and it was spotless I checked the float and it is fine no spots or anything so I adjusted the fuel to air screw and the needle with no luck I then replaced my fuel pump ( because I noticed fuel running out the back ) still ran the same. I recently had it running for a while putting around in low speed ( ran fine ) give it gas and it boggs out ( too much fuel) I noticed when it boggs out there is air coming out of the snorkle like a blowback I have tried reducing the air intake by covering the snorkle and it has no effect. Im at a los and due to our wonderful economy and my small town job im unable to send it to the shop so im here.

LOL..that happens to me, I loose tools all the time. They are usually lying somewhere because I forget to put them back where they belong. Then I need something, and it's an hour to find a freakin tool!

Lol well i left my tools at a convenience store as i unloaded a lawnmower, figures with my luck. I have to buy a new battery mine has crashed. It was weird because the starter didnt want to turn it over if the choke was closed or if u gave it any gas during cranking it over it would stop and start clicking. It did that even with the atv battery and a marine battery and a running truck lol. Im yet again stumped

Ok i went out n tried to start it ( pull start ) and it fired rite up but yet high idle still messes up ( blowback and flooding out. ) so how do i check the ignition coil? And if i have a low spark at high idle.

You could have weak spark at high rev. You would need to get a manual or find the specs for the coil, then attach an ohm/volt meter and see what the output is. Maybe something like 0.1-0.3 ohms. I'm not sure though.

check you petcock. there is a vacuum line that runs from there. the diaphragm breaks and leaks, when you start the motor the vacuum line sucks gas, there it runs very rich. shut off gas, drain the carb. and put vise-grip or clamp on the vacuum hose(close it some how).turn on gas and start it. i am 95% sure this is the problem.

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.
First one is Slow Motion of How it Happens.
Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

      5 broken Ribs
      1 Punctured Lung
      1 Broken Collar Bone

Im aware that this relay needs a positive (+) and a negative (-) to activate the other side. The blue wire is the neutral wire so when in neutral it gets ground. The green wire is from the parking break; when you pull the break in it gets ground (-). however one of those two needs to be neutral so that the positive from kill switch can go to the starter relay. The ground from the starter relay is from the start switch. Which one (neutral or parking break) should have a positive (+) voltage?

I've been trying to piece this Lakota 300 back together, slowly. It's been a rabbit hole however. I replace one thing, then it leads to replacing other things. Anyway, When I got this thing I noticed that the hose coming off the camshaft cover wasn't attached to anything, it was just hanging loose. (It's literally just a foot long hose attached to nothing) I figured since it was venting the head it would be ok and I am sure it is.
However, last night I was looking at the service manual and noticed that it mentioned that this atv has a crankcase breather tube as well. Mine does not have one, so I looked at Partzilla and looked at the parts diagram and sure enough, it's definitely supposed to have one. The problem however is, the service manual does not show how it hooks up and the parts diagram only shows the exploded view of the assembly. I just find that kind of strange, nowhere in the manual does it show how it connects. Does it have it connector, attach to a nipple? It just doesn't say and it bothers me that there is a hole there without anything attached to it.  If anyone has a Bayou 300 or Lakota 300 with an intact breather vent system and could possibly take some clear photos of it or know how it connects I would be very grateful. I have searched high and low and cannot find any information on it.

      Thanks

Do any of you have ATV's for your children or grandchildren?   My grandboys are fairly responsible, but they ARE boys!  The ride the heck out of this 4 wheeler.  Any suggestions what I can do to keep it running longer....?
