2006 Artic Cat 400 Auto - engine stumble

2006 400 auto-engine begins to stumble/retard ign. after riding various amounts,all speed ranges-ONLY HAPPENS IN HIGH RANGE-NOT LOW RANGE . Any ideas? Owners manual say there is a rpm limiter in the cdi box, but it occurs mostly at 15-30 mph.

Something to try is to hold in the reverse override and see if the problem goes away. The CDI might be thinking your in reverse, which unfortunately could mean a bad CDI box.

I am inclined to agree that there is some kind of override problem, I would listen to Mike's advise, he seems to know these AC machines pretty well.
