Hey guys I ride a 2008 KFX450R and do a little desert racing however can seem to to keep the arm pump away, I was looking at getting some Fasst Flex handlebars thinking they might help has anyone tried them and do they really help?

I plan on getting a set of those myself, not so much for the arm pump, but sometimes when you land a jump imperfectly, your wrists take quite a shock, I am hoping the flexx bars will help. Another thing I would highly recommend is a good steering stabilizer. I put a Precision Racing Pro series stabilizer on my LT-R, and not for one second have I regreted spending the $500 on that thing, helps tremendously.

One of my desert racing partners has them, he told me that he doesn't think there was a big enough difference to justify spending $300 on a set of bars. He did not notice any real changes in how his arms felt at the end of the day.

I have heard that these work just as well if not better than the flexbars, and they cost less. The bars more or less float on these clamps. Alot of racers are using them in favor of anti vibe bars or stems. I am also going to be getting a set for myself in the near future.

The clamps are supposed to work better than the bars, alot of pro racers have switched to the precision bar clamps in favor of the flexx bars. If you look at the way they work, the bars flex, and change your hand angle every time they move. Withe the clamp, the bars float straight up and down, they actually move quite a bit, making them very effective at soaking up impacts from rough landings and rough riding. When the quad bumps up and down, the bars stay still, the quad more or less just floats unerneath the bars, so it isn't sending all the shock to your arms. I would buy the clamps over the bars hands down.

I'm trying to help a buddy out with his bike (he's not really on the internet or familiar with these forums) and I'll admit that I am not super familiar with the transmission and clutches in these bikes. I owned a Brute a few years ago, but never had an issue like this that I had to troubleshoot.
So basically my buddy bought a group lot of 650's to build one good bike out of. He got it all put together and has it running but when he pushes on the throttle the clutch doesn't engage till the RPM's are quite high and even when its moving it doesn't really speed up, almost seems like its in "limp mode". He's tried 2 different transmissions so I don't think that's the problem.
Is there any adjustment on the clutch engagement? Anything else I can tell him to look at? Let me know if you need anymore information if you think you can help.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i just picked this up. was told ran fine but overheating issues led to replacing head gasket and head. has not ran since. he is not a mechanic but helped someone else who he could not get back to finish job, got aggravated and put up for sale. i was thinking timing issues. i have 110-120psi on all 3 cylinders so i think valves are correct. dont know about distributor yet. however i have no spark. i have no power going to ignition coil. tried to follow white wire but gets lost in wire harness. does anyone have a wiring diagram? can anyone tell me what conditions have to be met before starting. motor turns over so i would think all safeties are met but you never know.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
