Hey!

This is my first post here, and I was curious if anyone would like listen to a strange whine that has developed over the last few rides. We have pulled the clutch case off and checked the water pump, but everything looks normal. Here is a YouTube video I just took from my phone, so I hope this gives you an idea of what is going on.

Thanks in advance for any ideas of what is going on! Sorry about not introducing myself before my first post, I'm actually online from my HTC incredible, so its a bit hard to navigate. We are currently camping at horsfall in Oregon, just a bit north of Coos Bay, so having a broken bike on a dunes trip is no fun. Thanks again,

Dan

Sorry for posting to the wrong section, if someone could move this to the right section, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I have occasionally had a gear whine come from my LT-R, but usually went away if I shifted into neutral let the clutch out and started over again. The noise would only start when downshifting. I have no audio on my PC at the moment so I couln't hear your vid. I just got this thing up and runnig a few weeks ago, had to completely wipe both hard drives and start from scratch so I don't have all my software installed yet. Good luck.

I'm trying to help a buddy out with his bike (he's not really on the internet or familiar with these forums) and I'll admit that I am not super familiar with the transmission and clutches in these bikes. I owned a Brute a few years ago, but never had an issue like this that I had to troubleshoot.
So basically my buddy bought a group lot of 650's to build one good bike out of. He got it all put together and has it running but when he pushes on the throttle the clutch doesn't engage till the RPM's are quite high and even when its moving it doesn't really speed up, almost seems like its in "limp mode". He's tried 2 different transmissions so I don't think that's the problem.
Is there any adjustment on the clutch engagement? Anything else I can tell him to look at? Let me know if you need anymore information if you think you can help.

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.
