Welcoem to QUADCRAZY! I don't think it would ruin anything else as it's spec'ed for the 89 with 350. If teh connectors fit and it fires up, I would use it. I saw one on ebay: YAMAHA WARRIOR 350 CDI BOX YFM350: eBay Motors (item 200483581278 end time Jun-21-10 12:43:55 PDT)

I could be wrong though. I had an 87 warrior and remember 87-88 parts working, but 89 had some changes.

They are definately a different part, that is not to say it wouldn't work though. Like Ajmboy said, if all the plugs match up, then it might work. The only real difference may be the manufacturer or it may have an updated timing curve. If it does work, you may have to re set the ignition timing.

pick a large dealer, go to his site and make sure the part numbers match for 87 and 89. if it does, buy it. UNHOOK THE battery before you plug it in, Just in Case. You don't want to let the smoke out of it right? pluf it in, fire it up. I assume you have checked everything else already?

I already looked up the parts for him and the numbers are different, you can even see a slight design difference in the diagrams. Not that it matters, It has been a week, if he was coming back, he probably would have checked on some answers by now.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?
