Hi Josh, you "dirt demon" you,

1 bolt I need is called something, but I don't know what, but on the outside the lug nut screws on to it.

The cap is maybe called a hub cap? The cap holder goes on below the wheel hub nut.

I need 2 bolts that go from a arm on the frame, through the top of the fender and into the bottom of the front rack. I have no idea of the size or threads it would be.

Thanks so much for your reply

I think the dealer is going to be your best bet on this. It will be more expensive but they should have the blown out parts diagrams and that is what is going to tell you what the bolt is and the thread.

Here is a link to a parts fische, select your machine using the dropdowns in the box labeled "OEM parts lookup by model fit", once you are in the fische for your mache, you can select different sections of the machine and identify the parts you need. This site also has some of the better prices I have seen for parts online.

Babbitts Sports Center | Arctic Cat OEM Parts | Can-Am (Bombardier) OEM Parts | Honda OEM Parts | Kawasaki OEM Parts | Polaris OEM Parts | Sea-Doo OEM Parts | Ski-Doo OEM Parts | Suzuki OEM Parts | Yamaha OEM Parts

On the front wheel, you will find the cap as part #12 and the wheel stud that the lug nut screws onto as part #3. If you are looking for those parts for the rear wheel, they are #2 for the stud and # 10 for the cap, the studs are different from front to rear, but the caps are the same. If you look at the diagram labeled "carrier" in the dropdown, I think the bolt you are looking for is #4. I looked up the parts using the 1998 model year.

WOW! You really went out of your way to help me. Thank you so much. You are terrific!!!!!

I got everything but the hub cap. I don't want to have 1 shiny new hub cap, so I will try to find a used one. I had searched the internet for a rack and found nothing that looked like my "carrier". There isn't anything you can't find on the internet IF you know the name of it.

If anyone has an old hub cap laying around please let me know how much you want for it. I do not want to put 1 new shiny hub cap on an old 1998 Quad.

You are welcome, your best bet for finding a used cap will be a salvage yard or find someone who is parting out a similar machine. By the way, I merged your new thread with this one, the topic is really still the same.

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i just picked this up. was told ran fine but overheating issues led to replacing head gasket and head. has not ran since. he is not a mechanic but helped someone else who he could not get back to finish job, got aggravated and put up for sale. i was thinking timing issues. i have 110-120psi on all 3 cylinders so i think valves are correct. dont know about distributor yet. however i have no spark. i have no power going to ignition coil. tried to follow white wire but gets lost in wire harness. does anyone have a wiring diagram? can anyone tell me what conditions have to be met before starting. motor turns over so i would think all safeties are met but you never know.

Hello all! I’m new to the 4 wheeler world, but not new to the mechanic world. I was a diesel mechanic for many years and last year got into jet skis. I just bought a 1987 Yamaha moto 4 350 and now learning the ins and outs of 2 stroke engines. Looking forward to learning all the things.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
