Customer: Why should I give you my social security number? The reason I'm closing my account is that your bank is issuing credit cards to illegal immigrants who don't have social security numbers. You are targeting that audience and want their business. Let's say I'm an illegal immigrant and you've given me a credit card. I have a question about it and call for assistance. You wouldn't be asking me for a Social Security number, would you?

The Bank: No sir, I wouldn't.

Customer: Why not?

The Bank: Because you would have pressed '2' to speak in Spanish. We don't ask for that information when calling in on the Spanish line.

I am not anti-immigration, but I am definately anti-illegal. There is a proper channel for people who want to become citizens of this country. It seems to me, offering jobs and assistance to illegals is a slap in the face of those who actually took the time to become properly naturalized, and came to this country legally. I am tired of hearing people complain when someone actually wants to stand up and deny health care and financial assistance to illegals. We can't even afford our own free-loaders, we don't need to cater to those who are here illegally too. There is a purpose for the welfare system in this country, and I have no problem with giving someone a helping hand during hard times. I cannot, however, support the gross abuse of those who take advantage of the welfare system in this country.
