It is nice to have those adjustable shocks, adding air is much easier and cheaper than having them re-sprung and/or revalved and far less expensive that buying new shocks. I am seriously considering the Fox Floats when I decide to upgrade my suspension. I think even something as minor as radiator hoses will help that yellow subframe blend in a little better. Are you still considering having the upper a-arms pc'd yellow?

I know those probably weren't cheap, once you get used to the extra width I am sure you will find they were worth the money. Your machine will stay flatter and feel alot more stable in corners, gets a little hairy in the tight stuff though. Do you have a steering stabilizer? If not you may want to consider one when your finances allow it. I know mine was worth every penny.

Nice, some people don't like wide quads, especially woods riders, I personally prefer the extra width now that I am so used to it. At one time I had considered buying some offset wheels so I could make it narrower, but I have come to prefer the extra width, I just bought a good steering stabilizer for those tight areas where I am likely to catch a front wheel on something. I was shopping for a KFX or a YFZ when I bought my quad, but I found the best deal on the LT-R, I was a bit worried that I wouldn't like the wide track, but in hindsite, I feel I bought the right machine for me. I love having programmable fuel injection, the frame is heavy, but bullet proof and I have come to love the wide stance.

Your quad looks bad as* btw, wide and mean looking. Good job.

Nice job!

I finished painting up the frame on my Suzuki LT250 a year ago. It took me days to strip everything from the frame as so many bolts were seized! Glad I took the tine to do it though. Now Ive just got to put a new barrel on her and shes going to purr!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

I’ve got a 2000 400ex with a dg slip on muffler, it came with he stock muffler on it but the previous owner had the dg in a box so I put it on. I’ve been riding it for the past month and a half and every time I let off it backfires, and the other day the backfires got way louder, 2x louder! I’m concerned that I may hurt my motor? Why does is backfire??? Thanks

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

I recently bought a 87 TRX 250 not running of course, the owner had a brand new Key Switch on it.
I think it is the wrong one or wrong wire colors as the colors dont match up with wiring diagram i downloaded for it.
anyone have a pic of their ign switch wires where they connect with the wire colors for that model? I ended up leaving the black/w stripe and
green wire disconnected in order to hot wire it for other testing but would like to know as the colors dont match diagram.

Well while I was waiting for new parts for the choke, I decided to adjust the clutch. When I removed the lock nut, I found the guy I bought it from or someone else had stripped the threads on the adjustment rod. I couldn’t get the adjustment rod to turn without putting a pair of channel locks on the screw driver, this was telling me something was wrong. So now the rod pushes in and out and spins freely too freely. So guess I’ll have to take the clutch housing off to see what’s going on and replace the adjustment rod, it’s threads are beyond repair, and there is something going on with the adjustment rod. If there’s another way please let me know. The further I go the worse it gets. Thanks for any help.
