I figured since I won't be able to ride for a while I will make some visual changes. I'm going to repaint my frame Honda red, my subframe is going to be a bright yellow along with my hubs. I will do my lower A-arms red and the upper arms will be yellow. I will keep all the plastics and wheels the same. My swingarm will be black.

Here is what I got done today...

Powder coating is the way to go. If it were me though, I would go with the same color orange that is on the side of your seat and handguards, instead of the yellow. I think that color goes well with everything now, the yellow seems like it would clash a bit IMO. I think sticking with the red is a good idea, I think it looks good, and I think the black swingarm would look good too. I have been thinking about doing mine next year, everything will be going matte black if I do anything.

I'm waiting on a few parts to arrive. A few new bearings, sprockets, and chain. As soon as those arrive I will be able to make a lot more progress. I still have to paint my A-arms, it has been too cold to paint thrm. Stock arms can't be PC'ed...

I notice you went with Lone Star a-arms instead of painting the stockers. Have you figured out what you need to adjust the shock pressure to so it doesn't ride too soft. The wider stance looks good, are did you run a different offset on the rear wheels to widen the rear out, they look like they have a bit more offset than standard. Looks like you stuck a wheel spacer in there too. That yellow subframe is looking kind of lonely though, are you going to change the color on anything else to match it?

I ended up busting a ball joint on my stockers so i went that route. Temporarily I have 1" spacers and a different offset on the back to even out the front and back. I found that 65PSI in the shocks works great for what I do. I plan on adding some Yellow radiator hoses

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

I’ve got a 2000 400ex with a dg slip on muffler, it came with he stock muffler on it but the previous owner had the dg in a box so I put it on. I’ve been riding it for the past month and a half and every time I let off it backfires, and the other day the backfires got way louder, 2x louder! I’m concerned that I may hurt my motor? Why does is backfire??? Thanks

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

I recently bought a 87 TRX 250 not running of course, the owner had a brand new Key Switch on it.
I think it is the wrong one or wrong wire colors as the colors dont match up with wiring diagram i downloaded for it.
anyone have a pic of their ign switch wires where they connect with the wire colors for that model? I ended up leaving the black/w stripe and
green wire disconnected in order to hot wire it for other testing but would like to know as the colors dont match diagram.

Well while I was waiting for new parts for the choke, I decided to adjust the clutch. When I removed the lock nut, I found the guy I bought it from or someone else had stripped the threads on the adjustment rod. I couldn’t get the adjustment rod to turn without putting a pair of channel locks on the screw driver, this was telling me something was wrong. So now the rod pushes in and out and spins freely too freely. So guess I’ll have to take the clutch housing off to see what’s going on and replace the adjustment rod, it’s threads are beyond repair, and there is something going on with the adjustment rod. If there’s another way please let me know. The further I go the worse it gets. Thanks for any help.
