I am new but also need help. I thought I would combine the two posts here. My name is Francisco and recently I acquired a used 300cc King-quad. I am going to use it for fun, but mainly for woods / hunting. It starts and runs, but when I gas it...it just dies pretty much.

I have ordered my manual, but it won't be here for a few days at least. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have fixed a couple things on it already. I have fixed the winch and installed a ignition switch. However, there are a couple things I very much need help on.

1) The left hand handlebar. Where does that wire / cable go? Right now it is rusted and i am trying to free it at the handlebar. However when I removed the seat, the cable is just laying there...I think...lol

2) How do I adjust the A/F ratio? Is it the screw next to gas inlet and some other screw I saw on there?

When u got it did u replace/ or check all the fluids? For the carburetor problem with it dying as it gets gas u most likely have to clean it cause u have gunk in it.

1.) If im not mistaken i think the wire/cable that u are looking at is the parking break, on the handlebar is it attached to the hand break or is it loose up their as well?

2.) the air to fuel ratio i can only tell u to wait for the manual, unless someone else chimes in.

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i just picked this up. was told ran fine but overheating issues led to replacing head gasket and head. has not ran since. he is not a mechanic but helped someone else who he could not get back to finish job, got aggravated and put up for sale. i was thinking timing issues. i have 110-120psi on all 3 cylinders so i think valves are correct. dont know about distributor yet. however i have no spark. i have no power going to ignition coil. tried to follow white wire but gets lost in wire harness. does anyone have a wiring diagram? can anyone tell me what conditions have to be met before starting. motor turns over so i would think all safeties are met but you never know.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?

I have just recently gotten a yamaha big bear 350 atv and I think the carburetor is a little off on its setting,bc it cuts out at full throttle and it makes a weird pluff kinda sound 3-4 seconds after I hit the kill switch to shut the atv off. I don't know why it's doing that so any help will be greatly appreciated.
