Next year, I am thinking of spray-painting (hig quality spray paint like duplicolor) my honda recon white or spraying it with duplicolor truck bedliner (I love that stuff)

Has anyone done this? does it chip off easy? crack? is it strong? I think my best bet would be duplicolor bedliner plus that would look badass.

What do you guys/gals think??

their are a lot of ppl who have line-x their atvs it looks very nice... it wouldn't chip as long as u set ur plastics up correctly for the paint.. the only problem with the line-x or any bedliner is that it is kinda tough to clean wen u get mud on it...but its a good idea to give ur atv a new look

I would do a dupli-color (truck bedliner spray) myself, Ive used it on the racks/brushguard and really like it.

But I would consider having a rhinno-lining or ine-X done professionally if the difference was worth it...

go with the duplicolor if u really like it and it holds up well i would recommend it..plus it would be a lot cheaper then doin the line-x... ur gunna paint it white right?

I was gonna paint it with duplicolor truck bedliner (black) but I kinda like the idea of getting Line-X in white (you can get it in colors :D)

last choice is regular white paint

Actually, now that Ive looked into it more I would want to do one of two things...

either go all out and do a paint job with the flex additive and clearcoat (Ive found a site online with detailed instructions) or just buy some dupli-color spray-on bedliner.

Im leaning towards the duplicolor since my ATV isnt really nice enough for a nice paint job (al the other flaws would stand out LOL)

The duplicolor would be inexpensive and come out great so long as I properly prepare the plastic....

heres how it looks on bike plastics...

WOW that a/c looks amazing!! I think I may end up going that route!

White Line-X on the body, black (or just black duplicolor) on the brushguard, racks and some other things like the A-arms, foot pegs and bottom of the frame...

yea that would look awesome with the white and some black rims maybe u can paint ur rims black with duplicolor good contras... the only thing that may be a problem is that its white on an atv ur REALLY going to see every spec of dirt on it but again it would look really nice

im going back and forth if i should paint my atv with black line-x its a good idea and the stuff is strong

be carefull painting your plasics, most paint wont stick for long, if it does the first bent will make it come off, I have used a plastic adhesion promoter from an automotive paint supply store before painting.

I am 90% sure Im just going to paint the body and racks black (bedliner) and paint the springs lime green and do a bunh of small accents (and maybe even lights) in lime green, also have some lime green RECON decals printed...

but my mind seems to change every other day LOL

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

I’ve got a 2000 400ex with a dg slip on muffler, it came with he stock muffler on it but the previous owner had the dg in a box so I put it on. I’ve been riding it for the past month and a half and every time I let off it backfires, and the other day the backfires got way louder, 2x louder! I’m concerned that I may hurt my motor? Why does is backfire??? Thanks

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

I recently bought a 87 TRX 250 not running of course, the owner had a brand new Key Switch on it.
I think it is the wrong one or wrong wire colors as the colors dont match up with wiring diagram i downloaded for it.
anyone have a pic of their ign switch wires where they connect with the wire colors for that model? I ended up leaving the black/w stripe and
green wire disconnected in order to hot wire it for other testing but would like to know as the colors dont match diagram.
