Hey everyone looking for a suggestion of where i can start looking. But first I'd like to explain what happened. Took the bike this morning got it started in 6 degrees celsius in 6-7 kicks? No choke. Drove 6km and when shifted to next gear bike decided to just shut off, stopped checked everything out seemed good, started first kick and on i went, drove maybe another 2km bike did same thing but this time it took me 10-15 kicks to get it started, on the third time after a kilometer decided not to start at all. Kicked it like a 450 a couple hundred times, nothing. So far checked gas is good, bypassed fuel filter and on/off valve to eliminate that problem, hot wired the kill switch in case something got corroded there. Nothing. Any suggestions would be welcomed. (Heard valve adjustment are a must do?)

Have you got compression ? Try poking your finger in the sparkplug hole and give it a kick. It should blow your finger out. If you can hold your finger in there then it's lacking compression.

Has it got spark ? Even though it might have spark at the plug when you kick it outside the engine, it may not spark inside the engine under compression. You could try a new plug which is a simple and cheap check.

When you try to start it, if you pull the plug out, is it wet with fuel ? If it's wet then it could be that the spark or compression is faulty, or the carb is flooding. If it's wet, turn the fuel off and keep trying for a while. If it's dry then check the fuel is getting right into the carb. Undo the drain screw on the bottom of the carb and watch as it runs out of fuel, then check the fuel keeps coming through fast enough to keep the engine running.

Answer the questions(all of them) and I'll see what I can suggest next.

And if you tell me what model it is I'll see if I can find a manual and have a read..  It may have an air valve on the carb or something I should know about..  haha.

I found a manual for a Taotao DBX1 two wheeler, but it's 125cc. Are you certain about the 140cc ?

Hey yea 100% sure, says on the engine itself. Small update, spark plug smells like it ran rich, and its coal black

coal black sparkplug, replace it, you can't have any spark on this, the carb need to be cleaned, verify your float point if it have a good seal and verify your adjustment of your float by the same time, third, make sure the mixture screw don't rotate by vibration. here is look like an over fuel from my computer chair😄 picture is a good thing if you can

thnks!

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

Hi my name is Greg and I just acquired a free 2000 yamaha kodiac 400 4x4 with the ultramatic transmission that does not run. I plan to get it going and use it around my property

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.
