do u even have a guess at what it is??

I would guess it is dry rotted bushings or some seals. It looks like dried up mud. Do you still have the pile of stuff? Put a little under water and see what color it is. You said it feels like metal?

got the pacakages in the mail the other day, thanks alot to bot for his kind deed. now i really have to kick it into high gear to find the time to do this stuff between school and sports

I really don't know how to help you, I never mounted them due to the fact I would have to move all my controls. Is there 1 or 2 pieces of thread-all? You can use that thread all through the hand guard them have that go into the mount.

Nope! I have always used that brand on my bikes. They hook up no problem, these were kind of weird. Can you feed the thread-all through the hand guards? If so, feed it through just a little bit. So the rest of the thread will be pointing towards the middle of you bars.Put the other end of the thread through the mount and bolt it on.

Keep in mind that you don't have to use those bolts and stuff. If you can find another way to mount them go for it.

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i just picked this up. was told ran fine but overheating issues led to replacing head gasket and head. has not ran since. he is not a mechanic but helped someone else who he could not get back to finish job, got aggravated and put up for sale. i was thinking timing issues. i have 110-120psi on all 3 cylinders so i think valves are correct. dont know about distributor yet. however i have no spark. i have no power going to ignition coil. tried to follow white wire but gets lost in wire harness. does anyone have a wiring diagram? can anyone tell me what conditions have to be met before starting. motor turns over so i would think all safeties are met but you never know.

Hello all! I’m new to the 4 wheeler world, but not new to the mechanic world. I was a diesel mechanic for many years and last year got into jet skis. I just bought a 1987 Yamaha moto 4 350 and now learning the ins and outs of 2 stroke engines. Looking forward to learning all the things.

I have just recently gotten a yamaha big bear 350 atv and I think the carburetor is a little off on its setting,bc it cuts out at full throttle and it makes a weird pluff kinda sound 3-4 seconds after I hit the kill switch to shut the atv off. I don't know why it's doing that so any help will be greatly appreciated.
