Today we took the new Rhino to a nice easy trail called Rollins Pass East. Rollins Pass is one of the old routes from the mining days. It is a very easy but scenic ride. Good place to break in the new motor. At the summit there is a tunnel called Needles Eye. You can't go through it for safety reasons. The other side of the tunnel is Rollins Pass West. Completely different trail heads. Here is a few pics from today.

These are the new Rhino at one of our resting spots.

This is a pic of Emerald Lake. An alpine lake at about 12,000 feet above sea level.

One of the many shelf roads. You MUST keep your eyes on the road.

This is what happens if you don't.

A few little clips of the ride. This is one of the easiest trails we ride. A fun relaxing cruise. Breaking in the motor on the Rhino.

The upgrade they made on the Rhino's suspension from 06-08 is unreal. The 700 was soaking up some good size bumps at about 25MPH like it was nothing. The 06 would buck alot.

It wasn't bad at all up there. Shorts and a sweat shirt and it was comfortable. It was 100 degrees in denver. The mountains were nice. Yeah that was snow. At 13,000 feet snow stays there year round.

No he hasn't paid yet but we are getting all of our court papers in line.

To all you youngsters that are invinsible. This kid is on his 2nd surgery and his family is being sued for 5 grand. Ride smart, don't get your parents into a law suit.

These are some of my favorite shots from the other day. A pic of the wildlife that lives above tree line. And just some scenic shots from the summit of our ride. Right about 13,000 feet above sea level. In the back ground you will see where the pine trees stop growing. Not much lives this high up.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?
