So here where I live in Newfoundland Canada, they let you drive your bike on the road provided it’s registered and insured same goes for crossing highways but on trails you don’t need to be insured. And I don’t even think you need a full license to insure your bike they said it was up to the insurance company. I’m trying to get my old 1985 Suzuki 250 registered they have to do a search for it to make sure it hasn’t been in anyone else’s name first. Hopefully it comes back clean I am pretty excited

I'm in rural upstate NY. Stay off the numbered highways and you're mostly OK. Interestingly, quads/atvs need to be registered and plated, but side x side, or anything over 1000 lbs, can not be licensed. Nonetheless, I still carry liability insurance on my 750cc Teryx.

Innisfil ontario,  registered and insured you can  drive quads or sxs pretty much anywhere, stay off major hwys. When the lake freezes over , we can ride right to Georgina , endless kms to ride.

Here in Manitoba you are not allowed to drive an ORV (Off Road Vehicle) on any roadways or shoulders. You can only cross roadways if you have a valid driver's license. They also introduced a yearly $25 trail fee for all registered ORVs regardless if you use it for trail riding or not. A lot of farmers, including myself, never take their ORVs on any trails but are now having to pay anyway. Realistically though the closest police station is 45 minutes away and I might see one police car drive by once every couple of years so lots of people drive on the dirt roads and never have a problem.

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i just picked this up. was told ran fine but overheating issues led to replacing head gasket and head. has not ran since. he is not a mechanic but helped someone else who he could not get back to finish job, got aggravated and put up for sale. i was thinking timing issues. i have 110-120psi on all 3 cylinders so i think valves are correct. dont know about distributor yet. however i have no spark. i have no power going to ignition coil. tried to follow white wire but gets lost in wire harness. does anyone have a wiring diagram? can anyone tell me what conditions have to be met before starting. motor turns over so i would think all safeties are met but you never know.

I have just recently gotten a yamaha big bear 350 atv and I think the carburetor is a little off on its setting,bc it cuts out at full throttle and it makes a weird pluff kinda sound 3-4 seconds after I hit the kill switch to shut the atv off. I don't know why it's doing that so any help will be greatly appreciated.
