1987 Suzuki 250 Quadrunner Choke Issue

My quad will not start when temperature is below 40 F.  Starts and runs great in warmer temperatures.  My choke doesn't seem to be working...should the plunger be "IN" (down) or "out" (up) to actually "Choke"?  Not the little choke lever...the actual plunger in the carb?

Yeah the plunger needs drawing out for choke, and they only work at idle, and it needs to be a slow idle, with the butterfly or slide closed right down. They draw extra air and fuel around past the butterfly or slide and that doesn't work unless the throttle is closed off .

I have noticed a difference between the aftermarket choke plunger and the OEM plunger so if an aftermarket carb has been installed the new plunger that comes with the carb needs to be installed along with it.

Yup Gw's right there.. The choke plungers are often different, and so are the idle mixture screws different sometimes if it's an aftermarket. The idle screws can't be changed but the choke plunger can mostly.. but it might not always be so.

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.
First one is Slow Motion of How it Happens.
Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

Hi my name is Greg and I just acquired a free 2000 yamaha kodiac 400 4x4 with the ultramatic transmission that does not run. I plan to get it going and use it around my property

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
