I have just acquired my first atv... a Suzuki Quadrunner  LT230 GEF.  Very low mileage About 5200 km or about 3000 miles. Hasn't been run in about 15+ years.  Looks to be in really good shape.  I will clean out the tank and fuel lines, clean the carb, get a new battery and check all the fluids.  Can anyone tell me what year this one is so I can order the right battery and any other parts I might need.  Thanks in advance for any and all help or advice.  All the best!

ok... I have a Vin #:  J5AAJ42A6F2113960  Which should be on a 1985 Suzuki LT230GE.  I had a huge mouse nest in the airbox and the critters ate my air filter.  The entire airbox was filled with nest so i had to dig the airbox out to clean it.  I removed the tank to get the 15year old gas out and I gave the carb a quick (too quick) clean.  I put all the cleaned air intake parts back on and installed a new battery.  nothing happened.   The neutral light doesn't illuminate so it won't crank the engine.  I jumped the terminals on the solenoid and it did start and it seems to run fantastically well.  I idles flawlessly, revs up just fine (wheels don't turn so I assume I do have it in neutral) but then gas started pouring out of the carb so I think a carb rebuild is in order.  I will have to figure out where the neutral switch is and figure out why It doesn't come on.  Has anyone else had a similar issue?  Does anyone know what the two on positions of the key switch do?  Ultimately I hope to find an owners manual and a service manual so I can get the final touches sorted on this amazingly well preserved machine.  All the best !!

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.
