You probably have a bad connection somewhere, or a dud battery. The bad connection could be on the power wires/cables, or on an earth wire/cable. I think we should get that fixed first, then check the no start.

When you push the button and the buzzing happens, does the dash or warning lights go out ? And, if you turn the headlights on and push the button, does the headlight go dull ?

Can you tell us about the circumstances..  did it have the buzzing before the carb, or any work, has it been parked up or ridden regularly, have you had it long ? Anything else you can think of to tell us about it's history ?

battery good, connection is good, iv had that happen with a bad relay(soloenoid), the one with the 30A fuse, sometimes they just get old and stick, you might tap it gently with a hammer and see if it goes, or even the starter gets brush dust down in it and won't go , may try tapping that with a hammer , only after you make sure your battery is good. Mine was doing that when I would first try to start it, I knew I had put the wrong size battery cable on it when I was redoing the electrics, I used a lawn tractor cable thought sure it would be enough even though it was physically smaller, replaced it with OEM cable and never had another problem. My long winded point is check your battery cables also.

Oh one other thing the 2093 Kodaks will probably be lithium crystal powered.

Hi my name is Greg and I just acquired a free 2000 yamaha kodiac 400 4x4 with the ultramatic transmission that does not run. I plan to get it going and use it around my property

Im aware that this relay needs a positive (+) and a negative (-) to activate the other side. The blue wire is the neutral wire so when in neutral it gets ground. The green wire is from the parking break; when you pull the break in it gets ground (-). however one of those two needs to be neutral so that the positive from kill switch can go to the starter relay. The ground from the starter relay is from the start switch. Which one (neutral or parking break) should have a positive (+) voltage?

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.

Hello all! I’m new to the 4 wheeler world, but not new to the mechanic world. I was a diesel mechanic for many years and last year got into jet skis. I just bought a 1987 Yamaha moto 4 350 and now learning the ins and outs of 2 stroke engines. Looking forward to learning all the things.
