I am in need of a breather tube diagram for my Rancher.  This picture is all I could find in the manual I have.     If you have the hose size and/or lengths needed that would be a bonus.

Pretty bad illustration, but it does hook to the Airbox under the brace, like the photo shows, and just hangs out with all of the smaller hoses going through the underside grommet to hold them in place, there are several angles that are premade on the OEM one, are you trying to make one that will work , or what are your thoughts.

Almost all of the hoses are dry rotted and i have no idea where they go as they are all broken, disconnected and flailing about.  I just want to buy some hose and replace them.

I did that on mine it kind of works but their was no place to put the smaller vent lines, you can make something or tape them to it. Had to make an adapter to fit tight and glued it in , hose wasn't big enough to go over the connector

It worked I ended up cutting it even with the gas tank mount. OEM for mine was not available and so far I haven't been willing to pay 70.00 for the muddy deteriorated one I found on Ebay.

Good idea but wrong tubes.  I am referring to the about 1/8" tubes coming and going all over the place.

Slowly but surely finding more bits a pieces.  I now have about three different repair manuals for this quad.  Now to see if I can string together a diagram.

Oh Ok I thought you were talking about the large tube, smaller ones are easier. I had some of the smaller ones also didn't have to replace them just figure out where they went and route them accordingly, and the OEM large hose had a grommet for them to fir into.

Japanese manuals are really good. If you look at the bike and the manual together you will find the diagrams are really accurate and explain it all really well. In detail.. very specific.  If it doesn't seem right, you might need another manual..  haha.

The pictures above are out of three different manuals.  They easily show where each connection is, but not now they are connected together.

If you have a Japanese manual, please post it.

I probably don't have any other pictures.. I'm a bit short of time today as well, but if I get a chance I will have a look..  But the explanation's going to be longer than you finding the info in a diagram...

Sometimes you have to look carefully at the grey parts of the diagram as well as the vivid parts the drawing is showing.. Sometimes when you look at the plan view then the side view, it all becomes clear..  I bet once you have it back together, it will all look just like in the diagrams..

I know the feeling I thought I had found all mine and today I found one back by the rear diff, thought it was diff vent but it already had another on it, tracing that one, it wasn't doing much it was filled with mud, in fact all of mine were filled with mud, so back to the service manual.

Is there some particular breather tube that's troubling you Blasiri ?

I can try to find and describe where things go by looking at the diagrams..  But not for every hose.

What I need is ... pick a picture...tell me where the tubes go maybe on another picture.   90% of mine are rotted off at the junctures and ends.

These breather hoses just hang out in the grommet attached to the air intake duct, hooks to final drive, carb, and brake, and do not attach to anything on the other end. You might have already known that and I misinterpreted your question. Thats what mine does and it appears yours does also by looking at the diagram.

Ha. Nah.

I'm here to help, not do it for you.

OK, I'll type in a heading from the picture above: Differential /Final Gear Case Breather Hose.   Did that make it any easier for you?

Sorry, but no I did not.  What is the purpose of these hoses if they do not connect to anything?  This is my first ATV/ATC/Motorcycle/Jet Ski etc.   I work on cars and a hose usually connects to something else aside from drains.

To release pressure that might build up in their places. I know for sure on the final drive, my suzuki has a bellows attached for that reason and my yamaha has the breather hose. Like yours.

Don't worry, I wouldn't want you to get out of your comfort zone.

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
